Udacity scholarship 2024 provides a learning opportunity to millions of people across the globe to obtain new skills to help with their jobs. Around ten scholarships are offered by Udacity, which has benefited more than 22,000 students from 48 countries across the world. The last date to apply for the AWS AI & ML scholarship is September 30, 2024 (tentatively).

Udacity Scholarship Program List 2023-24

The different scholarships provided by Udacity are:

Intel Edge AI Scholarship Program

The scholarship program was declared at the Intel AI Summit and the Future of Education and Workforce Summit and encourages professional developers interested in computer vision deep learning models at the edge. 

Applicants are shortlisted for the Intel Edge AI Fundamentals Course, where they learn the optimization of powerful computer vision deep learning models. The top students from the fundamentals course are selected for one of the 750 follow-up scholarships to the brand new Intel Edge AI for IoT Developers Nanodegree Program.

Bertelsmann Technology Scholarship Program

The main goal of the Bertelsmann company is to empower the maximum number of people to be successful in the digital world. The plan is to fund over 50,000 tech scholarships for students to learn with Udacity over a period of 3 years. 

The Bertelsmann scholarship is a 2-stage scholarship. Fifteen thousand candidates are selected for the initial course teaching the basics of Cloud Computing, Data Science, or Artificial Intelligence. The top scores of the initial program are chosen for the nano degree program.

Udacity’s Pledge to America’s Workers

Udacity provides an opportunity for laid-off American workers to learn the new in-demand skills that help them get new jobs and advance their careers. This scholarship is exclusively offered to the people affected by the COVID-19 layoffs within the country. 

Five thousand scholarships are provided to the recipients to undergo the challenge courses in the field of programming and data for a period of 2-3 months. The top 1,000 students from the challenge course are selected for the Nanodegree scholarship in the relevant field based on the challenge course. The Nanodegree program takes up to 3-6 months, depending on the chosen field. 

Secure and Private AI Scholarship Challenge with Facebook

The challenge course is provided for the students to learn the safe and secure use of distributed private data using different techniques. 

The goal is to become a Data Scientist or AI Practitioner by understanding the other tools to maintain user privacy and to train smarter AI models. The top students of the challenge course are selected for a Nanodegree program in either Deep Learning or Computer Vision.

Udacity KPIT Autonomous Tech Scholarship

Udacity, in association with KPIT, provides the Autonomous Tech scholarship to vehicle engineers in India. The selected candidates get into Udacity’s Self-driving Car Engineer Nanodegree Program, and the top performers of the program get a job interview with KPIT.

Around 500 students are chosen for the first term of the Nanodegree program, which is for a duration of 2 months. The top 100 performers of the program get a global job opportunity with KPIT. The candidates who are employed with KPIT after successful interviews get free admission to the second term of the Self-driving Car Engineer Nanodegree Program to resume studies and work simultaneously.

Lyft Scholarship

Udacity and Lyft have committed to preparing an autonomous future where technology like self-driven cars will benefit the environment and our lives. The Lyft scholarship program is dedicated to increasing diversity in the field of self-driven vehicles and helps students take the first step toward becoming self-driving car engineers. 

PyTorch Scholarship Challenge from Facebook

The Pytorch challenge aims to learn to build, train, and deploy state-of-the-art deep learning models using PyTorch. The students get practical experience with PyTorch through coding exercises and projects that implement style transfer and text generation.

Nutanix Hybrid Cloud Scholarship Program

The main aim of the scholarship program is to help students learn their cloud and engineering skills and use emerging cloud technologies to enhance the organization’s IT infrastructure. The Fundamentals program consists of designing, deploying, and managing hybrid cloud infrastructure using the Nutanix platform.

Google Developer Scholarship

This scholarship program is for US residents interested in a career in web and mobile development. The candidates have to choose a learning path first, either a web developer or an Android developer. 

Based on the existing skills and experience, the applicants are placed in the Beginner or Intermediate track. The top students from both tracks get access to the full scholarship to one of the Android or Web Development Nanodegree Programs, which is a part of the ‘Grow with Google’ initiative.

Udacity Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2023-24

The eligibility criteria for each scholarship program under the Udacity scholarship are listed below:

  • Applicants with AI exposure and computer vision who want a deeper understanding of Computer vision deep learning models are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • The candidate should have experience in Python or C++ and should be familiar with command-line basics.
  • The application process and student experience in the course is in English.
  • The candidate should be at least 18 years of age.

2.

Bertelsmann Technology Scholarship Program
  • The applicant can be a fresher or experienced candidate.
  • He/ she should be at least 18 years of age.
  • Both Bertelsmann employees and the general public are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

  3.

Udacity’s Pledge to America’s Workers
  • Applicants should be at least 18 years of age.
  • He/ she should be a US citizen or should be a permanent resident with a valid work permit.
  • No experience is required.
  • The program is exclusively for American workers who were laid off due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Secure and Private AI Scholarship Challenge with Facebook
  • Applicants should be at least 18 years to be eligible for the scholarship.
  • The candidates should be interested in learning the application of privacy-preserving techniques in deep learning.
  • The students should have some experience in Python and deep learning.

Udacity KPIT Autonomous Tech Scholarship
  • The applicant should be an Indian citizen of 18 years of age or older.
  • The candidate should have at least 2 years of work experience in the related field/ technology.

Lyft Scholarship
  • Candidates should have basic programming knowledge.

PyTorch Scholarship Challenge from Facebook
  • The scholarship is open to all applicants willing to build their deep learning skill set. 
  • The candidate should be 18 years or older.

Nutanix Hybrid Cloud Scholarship Program
  • Candidates interested in cloud and engineering skills and expertise can apply.
  • The applicant should be at least 18 years of age.
  • The students should have some experience with the command line on Linux or Windows and also with VMs and/or AWS/ GCP cloud.

9.

Google Developer Scholarship
  • US residents willing to master web and mobile development skills can apply.
  • The applicant should be 18 years or older.
  • He/ she should be living in the US.
  • Students applying for the Beginner track need no programming experience.
  • Students applying for the Intermediate track need some programming experience.

  • 500 candidates are chosen for the first term of the Self-driving Car Engineer Nanodegree Program.
  • Top 100 performers of the first term get employed with KPIT and get free admission to the second term of the Self-driving Car Engineer Nanodegree Program.

  • Full tuition fee covered for the entire Nanodegree program.
  • 400 scholarships have been awarded.

  • Top 100 students of the foundation course are selected for the Deep  Learning Nanodegree program.

  • Selected candidates get into the Hybrid Cloud Fundamental course of 2 months. 
  • Top students are selected for one of the 500 follow-up scholarships to the Hybrid Cloud Nanodegree Program.

Google Developer Scholarship
  • 15000 seats are allocated for the Beginner Track.
  • 10000 seats are allocated to the Intermediate track.
  • Beginner track candidates get 3 months’ exposure to the intro of HTML and CSS with the support of Udacity mentors.
  • Intermediate track candidates get access to offline web applications with the support of Udacity mentors.
  • Top 1500 performers of the Beginner track get a scholarship to the Front-End Web Developer Nanodegree Program.
  • Top 1000 performers of the Intermediate track get a scholarship to the Mobile Web Specialist Nanodegree Program.

Udacity Scholarship Important Points

The candidates can refer to some essential instructions below regarding the Udacity scholarship 2024.

  • The eligibility criteria for each scholarship may vary and are available on the individual scholarship page. 
  • All the eligibility criteria should be fulfilled before the application submission deadline.
  • The scholarship awards are not refundable/ redeemable for cash and cannot be applied to any other program other than the program for which it was awarded. 
  • The scholarship winners are responsible for bearing any additional educational expenses.
  • The candidates can apply for multiple scholarships at the same time or at different times but can only win one scholarship per scholarship contest.
  • The scholarship amount received is final and not transferable.
  • The names of the scholarship winners are put up on the Udacity website.
  • If Udacity is associated with a sponsor for providing the scholarship, then the submitted application and performance data will be shared with the sponsor as well.
  • Udacity holds the right to revoke the scholarship if the candidate does not meet the criteria or if there is any breach of the scholarship terms and conditions.
  • Udacity employees are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Candidates who stay in countries subject to US trade restrictions are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
