For admission to a college of their choice, the aspirant must ensure they know about the different B.Des eligibility requirements. Once a student has completed high school from a recognized educational board, they will need to apply directly to a B.Des program, either by direct admission to colleges or by multiple entrances and counselling afterwards.
They must ensure that they give the entrance examination required for the admission process. If a student has completed a diploma course in design that the AICTE has accredited, they can follow B.Des as well.
B.Des course admission process involves a set of steps. Getting admission for B.Des requires an aspirant to go through a fixed procedure, including group discussion, written entrance exams, etc.
The students must ensure they know about the different eligibility criteria and register themselves for the entrance examination.
The admission process differs from college to college, but the general procedure is given below:
The first step in this process is filling up the entrance exam's admission form online or offline by attaching all the documents, including the Aadhaar card, voter ID card, domicile, and 10th and 12th-grade mark sheets as the final year graduation mark sheet.
The cut-off marks will be announced after the results are published. Then, the aspirants who have cleared the cut-off will attend the online counselling. Applicants would have to provide options of the colleges where they want to take admission during online counselling. The counselling body would assign seats to the applicants based on their ranks.
The aspirants who get selected will receive an allotment letter. For document authentication, the aspirant must appear in person. After this step, the eligible ones are offered admission.

The B.Des programme is open to students who have completed Class 12th or an equivalent qualifying examination and as there are no stream restrictions, students from all streams, including Science, Commerce, Arts, and Humanities, can opt for the course. Thus, the students must apply for this course as soon as they pass their 10+2 exam. The students can choose to appear for the entrance exams such as NID DAT, SEED, UCEED, etc.
The B.Des course is for anybody interested in learning more about interior, exterior, or digital design. There are three options for this course: full-time B.Des, part-time B.Des, and distance B.Des.
This is a full-fledged on-campus degree programme that lasts four years and equips students with all of the required knowledge and abilities to work in the field of design. Several Indian colleges offer full-time B.Des degree programmes.
Currently, the part-time B.Des course is not available in India. A few colleges provide part-time design certifications and short courses.
