CUCET 2018

Introduction to CUCET 2019:

  • About: 10 Central Universities were established by an act of Parliament and the Bengaluru Dr B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act of 1960 jointly participate in Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET 2019).

  •  It is a combined entrance test organized for providing admission into various UG, PG & other courses offered by the central universities across the country.
  • Authority: The Central University of Rajasthan has absolute rights for conducting CUCET 2019 examination and to decide about admissions and allotment of seats.

  • Level: CUCET 2019 exam is a National Level Entrance Examination which will be conducted in 80 exam centres across India.
  • Scorecard Recognition: A consortium of 10 Central Universities of Haryana, Jharkhand, Jammu, Karnataka, Kashmir, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan, South Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Bengaluru Dr B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics will acknowledge CUCET 2018 score for giving affirmation.

  • Courses: CUCET helps the candidates to seek admission into the Under Graduate, Integrated Programme, Post Graduate Programme and Research Programme in various educational and professional field respectively. Like JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2018  are the well-known engineering entrance exams for granting admission in IITs, NITs etc, similarly, the CUCET exam is conducted for granting admission in Central universities.

CUCET 2019 Important Dates:

The Following Gives the CUCET 2019 Exam Dates. 

  • Exam Date: The CUCET 2019 exam will be held on 28th April 2019.
  • Application Form: CUCET 2019 Application Form will be available from 19th February 2019 and the registration process will end on 2nd April 2019.

  • Admit Card: Candidates can download the CUCET 2019 admit card from 13th April 2019 onwards. The candidates are advised to download the admit card from the CUCET official website.

  • Result Date: The CUCET 2019 results will be available to download from 25th May 2019 just a day before the AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam date.
  • Answer Key: CUCET answer key 2019 is released on 30th April 2018. Candidate can check there answer key by visiting the official website of CUCET 2019.

  • Counselling: Each university will conduct its own counselling. All universities will have their own eligibility criteria for offering the admissions. CUCET Counselling 2019 will conduct after the results are announced for CUCET 2019 examination.

CUCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Integrated & UG Courses: Candidates who have completed or pursuing class 10+2 level examination or any equivalent qualifying examination will be eligible to apply for Integrated and Undergraduate courses in CUCET 2019 exam. 

  • PG Courses: Candidates need to have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized board in order to be eligible for applying in postgraduate courses in CUCET 2019 examination.

  • Reserved Candidate: Candidate eligible for reservation recommend to go through the college's website which comes under CUCET 2019.

  • Citizenship: Candidates who are applying for CUCET 2018 must be an Indian citizen.

CUCET 2019 Registration:

  • Registration Process: Candidate needs to register themselves from the official website of CUCET 2019 by clicking on the Apply Now button.

  • Specifications: Before applying online for CUCET 2019 candidate is required to have scanned image of his/ her photograph and signature as per specifications are given below.

  • Photograph Image: Candidate needs to upload recent colour photograph along with the white/light background. Candidate needs to ensure that photograph should be on the front face only.

  • Signature Image: Candidate needs to sign with Black Ink pen on the white paper only. Candidate needs to make sure that there will be no other person can sign on behalf of the applicant.

  • Apply mode and payment: The aspiring candidates have to first register themselves after which, they have to fill the CUCET 2019 application form online only but in case of fee payment candidate can make, either online payment or offline payment.

CUCET 2019 Exam Pattern:

  • Exam Mode: CUCET 2019 examination will be conducted in offline mode i.e. pen and paper-based.

  • Paper Pattern: CUCET 2019 paper will be divided into 2 parts in which, Part A consists of 25 MCQs Part B consist of 75 MCQs.

  • Question paper pattern: Part A consists of English Language, Mathematical Aptitude, General Awareness and Analytical Skills whereas Part B consists of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Candidates need to attempt any three section i.e. PCM or PCB.

  • Marking Scheme: Candidates are awarded one mark for each correct answer. There is a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each incorrect answer.

CUCET 2019 Exam Centre:

  • Exam Centres: CUCET 2019 exam centres are spread around 80 different centres.

  • Preferred Location: Candidates can select two different states and cities as their preferred centre while filling the CUCET 2019 application form.

  •  Reporting Time: Candidate needs to report 15 minutes before the exam time.

  •  Prohibited things: Electronic gadget such as mobile, calculator, smartwatch etc. are strictly prohibited.

CUCET 2019 Admit Card:

  • Admit card Availability: Candidates can download their CUCET Admit Card 2019 from 13th April 2019 through the official website.

  • Details Required: By entering the necessary details like application number and password, candidate can download their CUCET 2019 Admit Card.

  • ID Proof: Candidate needs to carry their original photo ID proof along with the Admit Card. ID proof can be Adhar Card, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Driving License etc.

CUCET 2019 Syllabus: 

  • UG Syllabus: Candidate willing to get admission in B.Tech, B.Sc., Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences they need to concentrate on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology apart from this candidate need to concentrate on English, Numerical Aptitude/Data-Interpretation, Analytical Skills, Reasoning, General Aptitude, General Knowledge.

  • Timetable: Create your own timetable which is convenient to your schedules and giving required amount of time for all the subjects to Follow Proper Time Table
  • Paper solving: Go through the previous year question paper and solve all the papers to get practised of facing exam and time pick up.
  • Among choices: Try to find correct answers among the choices after analysing questions by ignoring the other options present in the list.
  • Revision: Even though you are well prepared with the topics there is a chance of forgetting the topics so make the revision of topics often and try to make remember it in free time.
  • Preparation: Take mock test paper and solve it by yourself by setting time and learn how to maintain time for each question and how to analyse the questions.
  • Study materials: There are many study materials available for the CUCET 2018, also go through the reference books and get prepared well with the topics.

Individuals who wish to get enlisted for a PhD Degree through CUCET must fulfil either one of the following Eligibility Criteria as per the CUCET Board:

  • M.Phil degree.
  • Qualified: UGC/CSIR-JRF/NET or SLET (Equivalent to NET/JRF as per UGC norms) or a holder of Teacher Fellowship.
  • Teacher in a constituent/affiliated college/department of the university & research experience for at least two years.
  • Is an in-service candidate with three years’ experience and has master’s degree with at least 55% of marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD) in the relevant subjects.

Note: The eligibility criteria differ for each institute and candidates are advised to pick a campus which suits them, or they must ensure that they fulfil all the required eligibility criteria for the institute they are opting for.

No, you are not eligible to pursue a PhD degree from the Central University of Haryana.

In order to be eligible for PhD through CUCET, the candidate should hold an M.Phil of his own.
