What is CUCET?
The full form of CUCET is Central Universities Common Entrance Test. CUCET Exam is a national level entrance exam to provide a single-window opportunity to students seeking admission into various UG, PG & PhD programmes offered by 14 Central Universities of India.
Central Universities of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kashmir, Kerala, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, South Bihar and Mahatma Gandhi University (Bihar) along with Bengaluru Dr B.R. Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE) jointly participate in Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET 2021). The Central University of Rajasthan has the absolute right to conduct the CUCET 2021 examination and to decide about admissions and allotment of seats.
The CUCET Exam is conducted as an entrance test once a year for admission into various courses in these Central Universities. CUCET 2021 Eligibility
The eligibility criteria may vary for different programs. The candidates need to check every participating University's eligibility criteria on its official website before filling the Application Form. Only the candidates with Indian citizenship can apply for CUCET 2021.
Aspirants who have completed or are appearing in class 10+2 level examination or equivalent qualifying examination from a recognized University or Board are eligible to apply for Integrated and Undergraduate courses in the CUCET 2021 exam. Candidates need to have a Bachelor 's 's degree from a recognized university to be eligible to apply for postgraduate courses through CUCET entrance exam 2021.
The candidate should have fewer than 19 years for undergraduate courses and less than 25 years for postgraduate courses. Unfortunately, this age limit is only there in the Central University of Kerela and is not there in any other university.
For the UG courses, general category students should have scored at least 50% in class 12, and candidates belonging to SC/ST should have scored 45% in class 12. In addition, they should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects depending on the course they intend to apply for.
For the PG admissions, students from the general category should have scored 55% in their graduation from a recognized university, and students who belong to SC/ST/PWD/OBC category need to have scored at least 50% marks in their graduation from a recognized university.
For candidates wanting to pursue a PhD, the eligibility criteria are that they should have a master 's 's degree with 55% marks for the general category, for the OBC candidates, it is 50%, and for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD, it is 45%. Apart from this, if a candidate has appeared for any national level exam like NBHM, GATE, or UGC-CSIR JRF, they need not appear for the CUCET entrance exam 2021.

How to Prepare for CUCET 2021?
CUCET is an exam conducted for candidates studying at various levels. Therefore, CUCET Syllabus 2021 is different. However, preparation techniques remain the same. Following steps can be undertaken for a full proof preparation.

CUCET 2021 Exam Pattern
CUCET 2021 examination will be conducted in offline mode, as a pen and paper-based (PBT), where students have to mark on OMR sheets provided during the exam.
For all programmes under CUCET 2021 except for programmes like Integrated Programme/ MCA/ B.Voc./ LLB/ MBA or any other general program, the paper will be divided into two parts, Part A will consist of 25 MCQs, and Part B will consist of 75 MCQs. For other Programmes, CUCET 2021 will have only one paper comprising 100 MCQs covering English language, reasoning, data interpretations/numerical ability, general awareness, and analytical skills.
Part A consists of English Language, Mathematical Aptitude, General Awareness, and Analytical Skills, whereas Part B will be based on Domain Knowledge. Part B will have 3, 4, or 5 sections with 25 questions per section. Therefore, a candidate is required to answer a set of any three sections (75 questions) relevant to the course he/she is applying for.
Candidates are awarded one mark for a correct answer, and a 0.25 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer. There is no negative marking for the research program.

How to apply for CUCET?
Candidates can apply through online mode only. For applying, candidates need to go to the official website of CUCET. Various steps in applying for CUCET 2021 are as follows:
- The first step of the application is Online Registration, and after registration, the candidate will receive an Applicant ID.

CUCET 2021 Exam Centres
CUCET 2021 will occur in 119 different centres across 22 states in India and one centre in Nepal. Kathmandu in Nepal is the only CUCET 2021 test centre outside of India. Details for Exam Centre is given below:
Exam Centre Selection: At the time of filling the CUCET 2021 Application form, candidates will have the option to select two different states and cities. Candidates should select any two cities from the exam centre drop-down list based on candidates'' convenience. (If less than 100 candidates registered for a particular CUCET 2021 Exam Centre then, in that case, that particular CUCET 2021 exam centre will be cancelled, and the applicant will be allocated with new CUCET 2021 exam centre which is nearby.
Candidates should reach their allotted CUCET 2021 exam centre at least 30 minutes before the given reporting time. All candidates must carry their CUCET 2021 admit card and a photo ID proof with them. On failing to do so, the candidate will not be allowed in the examination hall.

The CUCET 2021 will release two answer keys which is the provisional one and the other is the official one. CUCET 2021 Cut off
The CUCET 2021 cut off will release soon after the results are announced. The cut off is the lowest marks possible to get admission into the institution. As the exam is concerned with various universities, the cut off of each University for each course is different. Also, the cut off will vary from one category to another. Various cut-offs are published online by participating Universities.
To get admission into Central universities, the candidate must meet the necessary CUCET 2021 Cut Off. Only the candidate who scores more than the CUCET 2021 cut off can appear for the CUCET 2021 counselling. The CUCET cut off is decided by the conducting authorities. The cut off is calculated based on many different components like the number of students who appeared for the exam, difficulty level of the exam; last year cut off marks and other factors. CUCET 2021 Counselling
After the declaration of CUCET 2021 results, candidates need to register themselves on the concerned Universityuniversity's official website. Then respective participating Universities will declare counselling/admission schedule and merit list based on weightage on CUCET 2021 and other criteria.
CUCET 2021 Counselling allotment of seats will be done online. Seats for qualified candidates will be allotted based on the candidate'scandidate's rank and seats for the preferred course at the preferred University.
Based on the cutoff decided by each participating institution, the candidate can appear for counselling. After getting the desired institution in counselling, the candidate must report to the institution with all required documents and pay fees. After that, admission will be given to him/her.

Guidelines for CUCET 2021
Guidelines below are added for applicants for the CUCET entrance exam. Before going to an exam on exam day, candidates need to look at the following instructions to avoid any hassle.
- Admit Card Details: Candidates need to check their Admit Card carefully for their Name, Paper, Date of Birth, Gender, Exam Centre Name, City, State.
- Reporting Time: Candidates are advised to reach the exam venue well before the commencement of the examination to complete registration formalities well before the commencement of the exam. The registration desk will close 5 minutes before the examination.
- Relaxation under PWD: A copy of the PwD certificate in the prescribed format must be carried by candidates to claim relaxation under the PWD category.
- Question Paper Medium: Candidates should ensure that the question paper available on the computer is as per their choice of medium. Concerned invigilator should be notified in the case question paper is in medium other than their choice.
- Seat Allotment: Candidates are not allowed to enter the examination hall after the commencement of the examination. A seat indicating roll number will be allocated to each candidate. Candidature will be cancelled if the candidate is found to have changed their room/seat allotted.
- Prohibited Items: Candidates cannot carry any textual material, calculators, pen, slide rules, log tables, electronic watches with facilities of calculator, printed or written material, bits of papers, mobile phone, pager or any other device.
Note: Smoking or eating is strictly prohibited in the exam hall. Candidates cannot leave their seat or examination hall until the standard duration of the exam without permission of the Centre Superintendent or the Invigilator.
What are the programs offered by CUCET?
There are different programs that are offered which vary from one participating university to another. Also, different programs are there at different levels whether it is undergraduate, postgraduate, or P.hd level in these universities. Thus, there are several options and disciplines for applicants to choose from
Is there any age limit for applying?
Age is no bar for a candidate applying for CUCET Exam. The only exemption is the Central University of Kerala where a candidate should be less than 19 years old for undergraduate courses and less than 25 years old for postgraduate courses.
What is the tuition fee that candidate has to pay?
Tuition fees vary from one participating university to another, and from one course to another. Candidate can find out the tuition fee for their respective course from the official website of the same.
Can I edit University or program details in the CUCET Form?
