What is CUCET?
The full form of CUCET is Central Universities Common Entrance Test. CUCET Exam is a national level entrance exam to provide single window opportunity to students seeking admission into various UG, PG & PhD programmes offered by 14 Central Universities of India.
Central Universities of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kashmir, Kerala, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, South Bihar and Mahatma Gandhi University (Bihar) along with Bengaluru Dr B.R. Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE) jointly participate in Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET 2020).
The Central University of Rajasthan has the absolute right to conduct CUCET 2020 examination and to decide about admissions and allotment of seats. CUCET 2020 exam is a National Level Entrance Examination which will be conducted in 119 exam centres across India and one centre in Nepal.
CUCET helps candidates to seek admission into undergraduate, integrated, postgraduate and research programmes in various educational and professional fields in these 14 central universities.
Admissions through CUCET 2020 are handled at the level of each of these Central Universities and BASE, for their respective programmes. Candidates wishing to get admission into any of the Central Universities mentioned above, have to appear for the CUCET Exam.
The CUCET Exam is conducted as an entrance test once a year for the admission into various courses in these Central Universities. CUCET 2020 Notification
The CUCET exam is an all India entrance test for admission into 14 central universities of India. The authorities of the CUCET 2020 Exam published the official notification of the exam in March, 2020. CUCET 2020 Exam Date
The Central Universities conduct the CUCET as an entrance exam for admissions into different courses in these universities. Based on the scores obtained in the CUCET exam, applicants are given admission into these programs after the CUCET 2020 Counselling. The authorities released the application dates for the exam in March, 2020. The CUCET registration started on the March 16, 2020 and the last date of the CUCET 2020 Application was June 6, 2020. The last date for correction in the online CUCET 2020 Application was on June 9, 2020. No new dates have been announced by the CUCET 2020 Exam authorities for the further schedule of the exam. CUCET 2020 Eligibility
Eligibility criteria vary for different programmes so, candidates need to check eligibility criteria on participating universities website before filling Application Form. Only candidates with Indian citizenship can apply for CUCET 2020.
Candidates who have completed or are appearing in class 10+2 level examination or equivalent qualifying examination from a recognized University or Board, are eligible to apply for Integrated and Undergraduate courses in CUCET 2020 exam. Candidates need to have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university to be eligible to apply for postgraduate courses through CUCET entrance exam 2020.
Candidate should be having age less than 19 years for undergraduate courses and less than 25 years for postgraduate courses. This age limit is only there in the Central University of Kerela and is not there in any other university.
For the UG courses, general category students should have scored at least 50% in class 12 and candidates belonging to SC/ST should have scored 45% in class 12. They should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects depending on the course they intend to apply for.
For the PG admissions, students from the general category should have scored 55% in their graduation from a recognized university and students who belong to SC/ST/PWD/OBC category need to have scored at least 50% marks in their graduation from a recognized university.
For candidates wanting to pursue a PhD, the eligibility criteria are that they should have a master's degree with 55% marks for the general category, for the OBC candidates it is 50% and for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD, it is 45%. Apart from this, if a candidate has appeared for any national level exam like NBHM, GATE or UGC-CSIR JRF etc they need not appear for the CUCET Entrance Exam.

CUCET 2020 Syllabus
As CUCET exam is there for admission at various levels, CUCET 2020 Syllabus varies for each level. Candidates need to undergo all of the syllabus section for detailed study related to CUCET 2020 and must meet eligibility criteria for CUCET to appear in CUCET exam. For part, A of all courses syllabus is same and will be general and will be similar for aptitude test of any other entrance exam. The CUCET part A will test the students in subjects like Mathematical skills, English Language, General Awareness or General Knowledge so candidates should study the topics that come under these subjects.

CUCET UG Syllabus
For CUCET 2020 UG, majority of the syllabus will be similar to the qualifying examination of 12th standard. The syllabus includes normal sections of CBSE of class 12th for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.

Candidates need to undergo specific subject for Domain Knowledge of Part B of CUCET 2020 PG.
How to Prepare for CUCET 2020?
CUCET is an exam conducted for candidates studying at various levels. CUCET Syllabus 2020 is different, however, preparation techniques remain the same. Following steps can be undertaken for a full proof preparation.
Syllabus: Candidates must first read the syllabus carefully and accordingly buy the study material for it. The correct books are also helpful for candidates who shall prepare for the CUCET 2020.
Practice: Candidates also must practice previous year question papers and take mock tests online daily or weekly. This will improve the candidates's speed and accuracy. This will help them remain confident and will give them the idea of the CUCET 2020 exam.
Time Management: Candidates who are willing to give CUCET exam should plan for the time during the exam smartly and efficiently. Adequate time slot should be assigned for every subject. Candidates should make a realistic and achievable timetable and apart from this candidates should make sure that topics will not be left undone.
Keeping Record: Candidates should keep a record of regular work, and ensure that there is an improvement over yesterday's work.
Priority: From the beginning of Preparation candidates should make note of points which they find difficult and should give more focus on weaker topics and should make it strong. Candidates need to prepare systematically.
Revision: Candidates should revise topics daily to become perfect in all sections related to CUCET Exam 2020. Apart from this candidates should practice mock/sample tests papers for self-evaluation regularly. As a result of solving the mock test, the candidate can become aware of the areas that are taking more time and thus require more practice.
CUCET 2020 Entrance Exam Pattern
CUCET 2020 examination will be conducted in offline mode i.e. pen and paper-based (PBT) where students have to mark on OMR sheets which will be provided during the exam.
For all programmes under CUCET 2020 except for Programmes like Integrated Programme/MCA/B.Voc./LLB/MBA or any other general Programme, the paper will be divided into 2 parts, Part A will consist of 25 MCQs and Part B will consist of 75 MCQs. For other Programmes, CUCET 2020 will have only one paper comprising of 100 MCQs covering English language, reasoning, data interpretations/numerical ability, general awareness and analytical skills.
Part A consists of English Language, Mathematical Aptitude, General Awareness, and Analytical Skills whereas Part B will be based on Domain Knowledge. Part B will have 3, 4 or 5 sections with 25 questions per section. A candidate is required to answer a set of any three sections (75 questions) relevant to course he/she is applying for.
Candidates are awarded one mark for a correct answer and 0.25 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer. There is no negative marking for the research programme.

CUCET 2020 Registration
Interested candidates must go through eligibility criteria for CUCET 2020 first before registering for CUCET exam. Before appearing for CUCET exam candidates must fill CUCET Application Form end to end such that it will be very easy for candidates to take part in remaining procedures for the exam.
How to apply for CUCET?
Candidates can apply through online mode only. For applying candidates need to go to the official website of CUCET. Various steps in applying for CUCET 2020 are as follows:
- The first step of Application is Online Registration and after registration, the candidate will receive an Applicant ID.
- For Logging in, the candidate needs to enter Application ID and his/her Date of birth.
- Next step is that the candidate has to enter personal and educational details.
- Then after adding personal and education details, the candidate has to upload scanned images of his/her photograph and signature.
- Finally, application fees have to be paid by the aspiring candidate.
CUCET 2020 Application Form
CUCET Application Form was made available since March 16, 2020 on the official website and the last date to apply was June 6, 2020. CUCET application form can only be filled online. The process consists of three steps: Registration, filling of personal and educational details and finally payment of application fee. Personal details include email ID, mobile number etc. Candidates can check exam dates of CUCET such that they should not miss out on any important events related to exam dates.
Application Fee varies from one category to another and it can be paid through online or through Bank Challan. Candidates can apply for 3 participating universities at maximum and three programs within each participating university.

Before filling CUCET 2020 Application Form online, the candidate is required to have scanned images of following specific things:
- Candidate's recent photograph: Candidates need to upload scanned images of their recent colour photograph taken on a white/light background.
- Signature as per given specifications: Signature should be made on a white paper using a black ink pen.
CUCET 2020 Admit Card
The CUCET 2020 Admit card will be released on September 9, 2020. September The CUCET 2020 Admit card contains much important information which the candidates must read carefully. The CUCET 2020 admit card will contain the candidates' name, candidates' roll number, the application number, the exam centre, exam timing, rules and guidelines that the candidate must adhere to on the exam day. Along with the CUCET 2020 Admit card the candidates will also need to carry other essential documents of ID proof such as the Aadhar card, PAN card, college ID, etc.
How to download CUCET Admit Card?
Candidates can download their CUCET 2020 Admit Card from the official website. To download their CUCET 2020 Admit Card the following steps must be followed -
- The candidates must visit the official website.
- There will be a CUCET 2020 admit card link. Click on it.
- The candidate must enter the registration number and the password.
- The CUCET 2020 Admit card will be displayed on the screen and candidates must download it.
- The candidates after downloading it must take a print out of the CUCET 2020 Admit card.
CUCET 2020 Exam Centres
CUCET 2020 will take place in 119 different centres across 22 states in India and one centre in Nepal. Kathmandu in Nepal is only CUCET 2020 test centre outside of India. Details for Exam Centre is given below:
Exam Centre Selection: At the time of filling CUCET 2020 Application form, candidates will have the option to select two different states and cities. Candidates should select any two cities from CUCET exam centre drop-down list based on candidates' convenience. (If less than 100 candidates registered for a particular CUCET 2020 Exam Centre then, in that case, that particular CUCET 2020 exam centre will be cancelled and the applicant will be allocated with new CUCET 2020 exam centre which is nearby.
Candidates should reach their allotted CUCET 2020 exam centre 15 minutes before actual time and they must carry CUCET admit card and photo ID with them. Failing to do so, the candidate will not be allowed in the examination hall.
CUCET 2020 Answer key
The CUCET 2020 Answer key will release on September 21, 2020. The CUCET 2020 will release two answer keys which is the Provisional one and the other is the official one. The CUCET 2020 Provisional answer key can be challenged or candidates can 'raise objections' if they think any of the answers are incorrect. The CUCET 2020 official Answer key will release after taking all the objections into account. The CUCET 2020 Result will be based on the final answer key. How to download the CUCET 2020 Answer key?
The CUCET 2020 Answer key will be released on the official website and the steps are as follows-
- Visit the official website.
- Click on 'Download Answer Key' and the Login page will appear.
- Then login with the login credentials with Roll Number and Date of Birth.

How to Download CUCET 2020 Result?
Given below is the step by step procedure one can follow in order to download the CUCET 2020 Result.
- Go to the official website i.e. cucetexam.in
- If the result has been declared then candidates will be able to find the "CUCET 2020 Result" option.
- Click on the Result link.
- Now candidates will be redirected to a new screen where they will have to enter their roll number and password.
- After entering the necessary details, candidates can log in and CUCET 2020 Result will be presented on the screen.
- Candidates can view and download the result.
- Candidates are advised to take prints of the CUCET 2020 Result for future references.
CUCET 2020 Cut off
The CUCET 2020 cut off will release soon after the results are announced. The cut off is the lowest marks possible to get admission into the institution. As the exam is concerned with various universities, the cut off of each university for each course is different. Also, the cut off will vary from one category to another. Various cut-offs are published online by participating Universities.
In order to get admission into Central universities, the candidate must meet the necessary CUCET 2020 Cut Off for that year. Only the candidate who scores more than CUCET 2020 Cut Off is allowed to appear for the CUCET 2020 Counselling. The CUCET Cut Off is decided by the conducting authorities. The Cut Off is calculated based on many different components like the number of students who appeared for the exam, difficulty level of the exam, last year cut off marks and other factors. The candidate will not be able to participate in the admission process if he/she does not satisfy the CUCET 2020 Cut Off Requirement.

CUCET 2020 Counselling
After the declaration of CUCET 2020 results, candidates need to register themselves on the official website of the concerned university. Then respective participating Universities will declare counselling/admission schedule and merit list based on weightage on CUCET 2020 and other criteria.
CUCET 2020 Counselling allotment of seats will be done online. Seats for qualified candidates will be allotted based on the candidate’s rank and availability of seats for the preferred course at preferred University.
Based on cutoff decided by each participating institution, the candidate can appear for counselling. After getting the desired institution in counselling, the candidate has to report to the institution with all required documents and need to pay fees and admission will be given to him/her.

Guidelines for CUCET 2020
Guidelines below are added for applicants of CUCET entrance exam. Before going to an exam on exam day, candidates need to have a look at the following instructions to avoid any hassle.
- Admit Card Details: Candidates need to check their Admit Card carefully for their Name, Paper, Date of Birth, Gender, Exam Centre Name, City, State.
- Reporting Time: Candidates are advised to reach exam venue well before the commencement of examination to complete registration formalities well before the commencement of exam. The registration desk will close 5 minutes before the examination.
- Relaxation under PWD: A copy of PwD certificate in prescribed format must be carried by candidates to claim relaxation under PWD category.
- Question Paper Medium: Candidates should ensure that question paper available on the computer is as per their choice of medium. Concerned invigilator should be notified in the case question paper is in medium other than their choice.
- Seat Allotment: Candidates are not allowed to enter the examination hall after the commencement of the examination. A seat indicating roll number will be allocated to each candidate. Candidature will be cancelled if the candidate is found to have changed their room/seat allotted.
- Prohibited Items: Candidates are not allowed to carry any textual material, calculators, pen, slide rules, log tables, electronic watches with facilities of calculator, printed or written material, bits of papers, mobile phone, pager or any other device.
Note: Smoking or eating is strictly prohibited in the exam hall. Candidates cannot leave their seat or examination hall until the standard duration of exam without permission of Centre Superintendent or the Invigilator.
