CUCET UG 2022 mock practice questions have been released by NTA on the official website. Candidates can appear for the mock test by entering the required details. As CUCET UG 2022 exam will be conducted online, NTA released mock practice questions to help the candidates better understand the process of attempting the computer-based test. NTA also extended the last date to register or edit/make corrections to CUCET UG 2022 application form to Jun 26, 2022. CUCET UG 2022 exam will be conducted online from Jul 15, 2022, to Aug 10, 2022

NTA extended CUCET PG 2022 registration deadline. Eligible candidates can now apply for the exam till Jul 4, 2022, at 5:00 PM and pay the application fee till Jul 5, 2022. NTA will open the application correction window from Jul 6 - 8, 2022. The exam for PG courses is expected to be conducted in the last week of Jul 2022. The exact date will be announced soon on the official website in addition. NTA has added Suresh Gyan Vihar University to CUCET PG 2022 list of participating universities and five additional courses to the Vivekananda Global University.

NTA will conduct CUCET UG 2022 at exam centres in 554 cities across India and 13 cities abroad. Around 86 universities are participating in the admission process for UG courses, of which there are 18 private universities, 12 Deemed-to-be universities, 13 state and 43 central universities. The exam paper will be available in 13 languages, and candidates can choose the easiest language.

CUCET 2022 Mock Test

NTA has released CUCET UG 2022 mock practice questions on the official website on Jun 25, 2022, with an intention to help candidates be familiar with the online exam. As the exam is to be conducted as a computer-based test, candidates can take the mock test to understand the CBT mode better. They can take the mock test by entering the required details.

CUCET 2022 mock test sample papers for UG were released by the conducting body on the official website. The conducting body also announced that there are major changes in the type of MCQs to be asked in the domain subjects rather than standalone MCQs. Hence, candidates must remember that CUCET 2022 UG CBT paper will be 100% modelled on mock test papers.

Candidates appearing for the exam are advised to take CUCET 2022 UG mock test at least two weeks before the examination date.

CUCET 2022 Application Form

NTA extended the last date for CUCET UG 2022 registration and the application correction window to Jun 26, 2022, for the candidates to complete their application process. New registrations and the facility to edit/make corrections to the application form was available from Jun 23, 2022.

NTA also extended the last dates for CUCET PG 2022 registration and application fee payment. Eligible candidates can now apply for the exam till Jul 4, 2022, till 5:00 PM, and pay the application fee till Jul 5, 2022. The application correction window will be open from Jul 6 - 8, 2022, and the exam will be conducted in the last week of Jul 2022.

NTA reopened the CUCET 2022 UG application window on May 27, 2022, and the candidates who did not apply previously can do so till May 31, 2022, by 9:00 pm. The application correction window facility for the candidates was opened from May 25, 2022, until May 31, 2022 up to 9:00 pm. CUCET 2022 UG application form was first released on Apr 6, 2022, and the last date to apply for the exam was on May 22, 2022.

The application form can only be filled out online, on the official website. The process consists of three steps: registration, filling up personal and educational details, and finally, the payment of the application fee. Personal information includes email ID, mobile number, etc. In addition, candidates can check the exam dates of CUCET so that they do not miss out on any important events related to exam dates.

CUCET 2022 Registration

The first step toward admission to any participating university is CUCET registration 2022. After referring to the complete eligibility criteria, the candidates must decide whether they would like to proceed with CUCET registration or not. Those candidates who do not satisfy CUCET 2022 eligibility criteria should not fill out the application form either, as their candidature would be cancelled later. 

Steps to Apply for CUCET 2022

Recent Photograph: Candidates must upload scanned images of their recent color photograph taken on a white/ light background.

CUCET 2022 Application Fee

CUCET 2022 application fee is different for UG and PG programs and varies from one category to another. It can be paid online or through a Bank Challan. Candidates can apply to three participating universities at a maximum and opt for only three programs offered at each participating university.

Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is an all-India entrance exam held jointly by 12 central universities for admission to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs at all participating institutions. CUCET is held once a year in 161 places across India. The exam lasts two hours and is conducted on a computer. Originally, CUCET was organized by UGC in a paper-pencil format. The NTA has been conducting the test in a computer-based mode since last year.

Central Universities of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kashmir, Kerala, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, South Bihar, and Mahatma Gandhi University (Bihar) along with Bengaluru Dr. B.R. Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE) jointly participate in Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET 2022). Changes in CUCET 2022

According to the latest notification, 8 more universities have joined the CUCET PG 2022 exam. In other words, 8 new universities will be accepting CUCET scores for admissions to postgraduate programs offered by these universities. NTA has also released the test codes for the programs offered by the universities. The new universities that have joined the exam are as follows.

According to the announcements of NTA, CUCET for UG will be conducted in two slots from the academic year 2023. The question paper pattern for CUCET will change every year. However, the syllabus will remain the same. It is reported that there are major changes in the type of MCQs asked in CUCET 2022 in the domain subjects that were expected previously.

CUCET exam conducting body has also announced that PwBD candidates will be given extra 20 minutes for both sections of the exam. According to the notification on Apr 20, 2022, CUET Information Brochure underwent four changes relating to areas of document upload and evaluation pattern. The changes are tabulated below.

CUCET 2022 Eligibility

CUCET 2022 eligibility criteria may vary for different programs. The candidates need to check every participating university's eligibility criteria on the official website before filling the application form. Only the candidates with Indian citizenship can apply for CUCET 2022.

Aspirants who have completed or are appearing in class 10+2 level examination or equivalent qualifying examination from a recognized University or Board are eligible to apply for integrated and undergraduate courses in CUCET 2022 exam. Candidates need to have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university to be eligible to apply for postgraduate courses through CUCET entrance exam 2022.

  • The candidate should not be older than 19 years for undergraduate courses and 25 years for postgraduate courses. Unfortunately, this age limit is only there in the Central University of Kerala and is not there in any other university.
  • For the UG courses, general category students should have scored at least 50% in class 12, and candidates belonging to SC/ST should have scored 45% in class 12. In addition, they should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects depending on the course they intend to apply for.
  • For the PG admissions, students from the general category should have scored 55% in their graduation from a recognized university, and students who belong to SC/ST/PWD/OBC category need to have scored at least 50% marks in their graduation from a recognized university.
  • For candidates wanting to pursue a Ph.D., the eligibility criteria are that they should have a master's degree with 55% marks for the general category, for the OBC candidates, it is 50%, and for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD, it is 45%. Apart from this, if a candidate has appeared for any national level exam like NBHM, GATE, or UGC-CSIR JRF, they need not appear for CUCET entrance exam 2022.

CUCET 2022 Admit Card

CUCET 2022 admit card will be released on the official website. CUCET 2022 admit card contains important information which the candidates must read carefully. CUCET 2022 admit card contains the candidates' name, candidates' roll number, application number, exam centre, exam timing, rules, and guidelines that the candidate must adhere to on the exam day. Along with CUCET 2022 admit card, the candidates will also need to carry another essential document of ID proof such as the Aadhar card, PAN card, college ID, etc.

Candidates can download their CUCET 2022 admit card from the official website only. To download their CUCET 2022 admit card, the following steps must be followed -

CUCET 2022 Exam Centres

CUCET 2022 will occur in 119 different centres across 22 states in India and one centre in Nepal. Kathmandu in Nepal is the only CUCET 2022 test centre outside of India. Details for exam centre is given below:

Exam Centre Selection: At the time of filling CUCET 2022 application form, candidates will have the option to select two different states and cities. Candidates should select any 4 cities from the exam centre drop-down list based on candidates' convenience. (If less than 100 candidates registered for a particular CUCET 2022 exam centre then, in that case, that particular CUCET 2022 exam centre will be cancelled, and the applicant will be allocated with new CUCET 2022 exam centre which is nearby.

Candidates should reach their allotted CUCET 2022 exam centre at least 30 minutes before the given reporting time. All candidates must carry their CUCET 2022 admit card and a photo ID proof with them. On failing to do so, the candidate will not be allowed in the examination hall.

CUCET 2022 Exam Pattern

Delhi University announced that candidates belonging to PwBD category will be allotted an additional 20 minutes to write both sections of CUCET 2022. The exam will be conducted online, as a computer-based test for a duration of 2 hours. The exam question paper will be available in Hindi and English languages.

For all programs offered through CUCET 2022, except for the Integrated Programme/ MCA/ B.Voc./ LLB/ MBA or any other general ones, the paper will be divided into two parts, Part A will consist of 25 MCQs, and Part B will consist of 75 MCQs which will include 25 (Physics), 25 (Chemistry), 25 (Mathematics), 25 (Biology). For other programs, CUCET 2022 will have only one paper comprising 100 MCQs covering English Language, Reasoning, Data Interpretations/Numerical Ability, General Awareness, and Analytical Skills.

Part A consists of English Language, Mathematical Aptitude, General Awareness, and Analytical Skills, whereas Part B will be based on Domain Knowledge. Part B will have 3, 4, or 5 sections with 25 questions per section. Therefore, a candidate is required to answer a set of any three sections (75 questions) relevant to the course he/she is applying for.

Candidates are awarded one mark for a correct answer, and a 0.25 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer. There is no negative marking for the research program.

CUCET 2022 Syllabus

CUCET 2022 exam is set to be conducted twice a year from the academic year 2023. The question paper pattern for the exam will change every year, however the syllabus will remain the same as in class 12 as per the latest update.

Candidates need to undergo all of the syllabus sections for a detailed study related to CUCET 2022 and must meet the eligibility criteria for the entrance exam. For part A of all courses, the syllabus is the same. It will be general and similar to the aptitude test of any other entrance exam. Part A of CUCET entrance exam will test the students in subjects like Mathematical Skills, English Language, General Awareness, or General Knowledge, so candidates should study the topics that come under these subjects. As the exam is concerned with various universities, the cut off of each University for each course is different. Also, the cut off will vary from one category to another. Various cut-offs are published online by participating Universities.

To get admission into Central universities, the candidate must meet the necessary CUCET 2022 Cut Off. Only the candidate who scores more than CUCET 2022 cut off can appear for CUCET 2022 counselling. CUCET cut off is decided by the conducting authorities. The cut off is calculated based on many different components like the number of students who appeared for the exam, difficulty level of the exam; last year's cut off marks, and other factors. The candidate will not be able to participate in the admission process if he/she does not satisfy CUCET 2022 cut off requirement.

CUCET 2022 Counselling

After the declaration of CUCET 2022 results, candidates need to register on the concerned university's official website. Then participating Universities will declare counselling/admission schedule and merit list based on weightage on CUCET 2022 and other criteria. NTA has added Suresh Gyan Vihar University to CUET PG 2022 list of participating universities and five additional courses to the Vivekananda Global University.

CUCET 2022 Counselling allotment of seats will be done online. Seats for qualified candidates will be allotted based on the candidate's rank and seats for the preferred course at the preferred University. There will be 3 rounds of counselling for shortlisted candidates. Based on the seat allotment list, candidates will recieve the enrollment letter for the accepting college. 

The next step includes the verification of documents. All the appropriate documents and certificates must be produced during admission, upon verification, the admission process will be complete followed by payment of the fee. 

Based on the cutoff decided by each participating institution, the candidate can appear for counselling. After getting the desired institution in counselling, the candidate must report to the institution with all required documents and pay fees. After that, admission will be given to them.

It is advised that the candidates appearing for CUCET 2022 Counselling process carry all the required documents as suggested by the authorities. The following are the documents required during the counselling process;

  • Medical Certificates (for PwD candidates)

CUCET 2022 Exam Day Guidelines

Guidelines below are added for applicants for CUCET entrance exam. Before going to an exam on exam day, candidates need to look at the following instructions to avoid any hassle.

  • Admit Card Details: Candidates need to check their admit card carefully for their Name, Paper, Date of Birth, Gender, exam centre Name, City, State.
  • Reporting Time: Candidates are advised to reach the exam venue well before the commencement of the examination to complete registration formalities well before the commencement of the exam. The registration desk will close 5 minutes before the examination.
  • Relaxation under PWD: A copy of the PWD certificate in the prescribed format must be carried by candidates to claim relaxation under the PWD category.
  • Question Paper Medium: Candidates should ensure that the question paper available on the computer is as per their choice of medium. Concerned invigilator should be notified in the case question paper is in medium other than their choice.
  • Seat Allotment: Candidates are not allowed to enter the examination hall after the commencement of the examination. A seat indicating roll number will be allocated to each candidate. Candidature will be canceled if the candidate is found to have changed their room/seat allotted.
  • Prohibited Items: Candidates cannot carry any textual material, calculators, pen, slide rules, log tables, electronic watches with facilities of calculator, printed or written material, bits of papers, mobile phone, pager, or any other device.

Note: Smoking or eating is strictly prohibited in the exam hall. Candidates cannot leave their seat or examination hall until the standard duration of the exam without permission of the Centre Superintendent or the Invigilator.

Is there any age limit for applying?

Age is no bar for a candidate applying for CUCET exam. The only exemption is the Central University of Kerala where a candidate should be less than 19 years old for undergraduate courses and less than 25 years old for postgraduate courses.

How can I prepare for CUCET exam 2022?

What is the exam pattern in CUCET exam 2022?

What is the marking scheme for CUCET exam?

CUCET exam has a regular marking scheme where students will be awarded one mark on giving a correct answer. There is no deduction in marks if the answer is incorrect. No marks are awarded if the question is not answered.
