What is the SJE Scholarship?

The SJE Scholarship portal is a state-level online portal initiated by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Rajasthan. The SJE Scholarship also known as the Rajasthan Scholarship provides financial assistance to students belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ EBC/ SBC/ DNT categories who are domicile of Rajasthan state. The scholarship encourages the students to pursue higher education in the state which has 9 universities, more than 250 colleges, 55000 primary schools, 7400 secondary schools and also more than 40 engineering colleges to its credit.

SJE Scholarship Application Period:

All scholarships/ fellowships under the SJE scholarship scheme are open for application for a limited time duration during which the interested students should apply. The application period for each scholarship is shown below:

SJE Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

The main eligibility criteria for the applicants is that they should be a domicile of Rajasthan. The other required eligibility criteria are given below:

Post-matric and CM Scholarship, Rajasthan

  • Candidates should belong to SC/ ST/ OBC/ EBC/ SBC/ DNT category.
  • The applicant should be studying in Class 11/12 from a recognized school/ institution.
  • The annual family income of SC/ ST/ SBC candidates should not exceed INR 2,50,000.
  • The annual family income of OBC/ EBC candidates should not exceed INR 1,00,000.
  • The annual family income of DNT candidates should not exceed INR 2,00,000.
  • The annual family income of students studying in a Nationalised institution should not exceed INR 5,00,000.

2.

Dr. Ambedkar Post-matric Scholarship for EBC Students, Rajasthan

  • The applicant should belong to the General but EBC category.
  • The annual family income of the candidate should not exceed INR 1,00,000 from all sources.
  • Scholarship is available for students to pursue education from Class 11 to Post graduation level.

3.

Post-matric Scholarship for SBC Students, Rajasthan

  • The candidate should belong to the SBC category and must be pursuing education from Class 11 to post-graduation level.
  • The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed INR 1,08,000.
  • Students pursuing education through distance learning or correspondence are also eligible to apply.

4.

Ambedkar International Scholarship Scheme for SC Students, Rajasthan

  • The candidate should belong to the SC category and should have completed post-graduation from a recognized University/ college with a minimum of 55% marks.
  • The student should have taken admission for a Ph.D. course at an overseas university in Social Science/ Public Administration/ Law/ Economics/ Political Science/ Anthropology.
  • The applicant should be less than 35 years of age.
  • The annual family income of the candidate should not exceed INR 6,00,000.

5.

Ambedkar Fellowship Scheme for SC Students, Rajasthan

  • The candidate should belong to the SC category and should have passed post-graduation with a minimum of 55% marks.
  • The student should have taken admission for a Ph.D. course at an Indian university in Social Science/ Public Administration/ Law/ Economics/ Political Science/ Anthropology.
  • The applicant should be less than 35 years of age.
  • The annual family income of the candidate should not exceed INR 2,50,000

6.

Chief Minister’s Higher Education Scholarship Scheme, Rajasthan

  • The candidate should have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • The student should belong to the merit list of the first 1 lakh students.
  • The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed INR 2,50,000 from all sources.
  • The candidate should hold a valid bank account at any Nationalised bank.

7.

Rajasthan Yuva Vikas Prerak Internship Program (RYVP)

  • All students who have completed graduation in Engineering/  Medical/ Law/ Agriculture, post-graduation in any field or in the final year of study/ are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants pursuing a Ph.D. from a recognized university are also eligible to apply.
  • The applicant should belong to the 18-35 years age group.

SJE Scholarship Rewards and Benefits:

Different scholarships under the SJE scholarship scheme provide different monetary and other benefits to the candidates. The benefits offered by the scholarship are listed below:

  • Financial assistance of up to INR 25,00,000 per annum. 

5.

Ambedkar Fellowship Scheme for SC Students, Rajasthan

  • 6 fellowships of INR 15,000 per month for 3 years.

6.

Chief Minister’s Higher Education Scholarship Scheme, Rajasthan

  • INR 5000 per annum.

7.

Rajasthan Yuva Vikas Prerak Internship Program (RYVP)

  • Stipend amount of INR 25,000 per month.
  • Contact allowance of INR 2,500 per month.

SJE Scholarship Application Process:

The step-wise scholarship application process is given below:

Step 1: Registration

  1. The interested applicants should visit the SJE Scholarship Portal.
  2. He/ she should click on the ‘New Scholarship Portal’ and then on the ‘Sign up/ Register’ button.
  3. The Rajasthan Single Sign-On page is displayed. The candidate should click on the ‘Citizen’ tab.
  4. The applicant should now select one of the options from Bhamashah, Aadhar, Facebook, Google+ or Twitter to start the registration process.
  5. The student should create an SSOID and password and click on ‘Register’ to complete the registration.

Step 2: SJE Account Login

  1.  The applicant should visit the sign-in page of Rajasthan Single Sign-On and log in using the SSOID and password.

Step 3: Applying for the SJE Scholarship

  1. Post successful login, the first step if to update the user profile by filling in all the required information.
  2. After completing the profile update, the user is directed to the User Dashboard that contains multiple digital options.
  3. The applicant should click on ‘Scholarships’ to start the scholarship application process.
  4. A dialog box pops up and the user should select ‘Student’ and proceed.
  5. The candidate should fill in all the details in the application and upload all the supporting documents.
  6. Finally, the applicant should recheck all the data entered and click on ‘Submit’ to complete the application process.

Note:

  • The Bhamashah ID should be updated to apply for the scholarship. If not, the scholarship will not open.
  • The SJE scholarship application status can be tracked through the scholarship portal.
