Rajasthan scholarships invite applications from students studying class XI and above. The State government and its agencies offer financial aid to the domiciles of Rajasthan belonging to the reserved categories. The scholars will receive up to INR 25,00,000 along with other benefits. The last date to apply for the scholarship scheme was March 2, 2024 (tentatively).

Rajasthan Scholarship List  2023-24

The State government has launched several scholarship schemes for underprivileged students domiciled in Rajasthan. Students belonging to SC/ST, OBC, EBC, SBC and other categories can apply for these scholarships. The list of popular Rajasthan scholarships is as follows:

Post-Matric Rajasthan Scholarship for SBC Category 

Candidates belonging to the SBC category can apply to this post-matric Rajasthan scholarship. However, they should be domiciled in Rajasthan and should study class IX or above. In addition, candidates pursuing post-matric courses through distance education can also apply to the post-matric Rajasthan scholarships. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidates should be permanent residents of Rajasthan.
  • They should belong to the SBC category.

  • The family income should not exceed INR 1,80,000 per annum.
  • Those studying through correspondence or distance education can also apply.

  • The students will receive monetary benefits to cover their non-refundable fees, maintenance allowance, and study tour.

Post-Matric and CM Rajasthan Scholarship 

Students from SC, ST, SBC, OBC, EBC and DNT categories can apply to the past-matric and CM Rajasthan scholarship. They should either be in class XI or XII. The selected students will obtain financial assistance from the government.

  • The candidates should belong to the SC/ST, OBC, EBC, SBC or DNT category.
  • They should be in class XI or XII.
  • The students should study in recognised institutions.
  • The family income should not exceed INR 2,50,000 for the SC/ST and SBC categories, INR 1,00,000 for OBC and EBC categories, INR 2,00,000 for DNT category, and INR 5,00,000 for students from nationalised institutions.

Dr Ambedkar Post-Matric Rajasthan Scholarship for EBC Category 

Dr Ambedkar's post-matric Rajasthan scholarship offers financial aid to students belonging to the Economically Backward Class (EBC). Students from the post-secondary level to those pursuing higher studies can apply to the scheme. Below are the details of the eligibility and rewards of this Rajasthan scholarship.

Ambedkar International Rajasthan Scholarship SC Category 

Students belonging to the SC category aspiring to pursue a PhD degree overseas can apply to this Rajasthan scholarship scheme. The objective of the Rajasthan scholarship scheme is to provide equal educational opportunities to deserving candidates. Those who fulfil all the requirements can apply online to the Ambedkar International Rajasthan scholarship scheme for SC students. 

Eligibility Criteria 

Interested students should fulfil the following Ambedkar international Rajasthan scholarship eligibility criteria:

  • The candidates should belong to the SC category.
  • They should have a masters degree from a recognised university.
  • The candidates should have obtained at least 55% marks.
  • They should have taken admission for a PhD degree in a foreign university.

    • Social science
  • The candidates should not be over 35 years of age.
  • The family's annual income should not exceed INR 6,00,000.

Ambedkar Fellowship Rajasthan Scholarship Scheme for SC Category 

The State offers financial aid to students belonging to the SC category and aspiring to pursue a PhD degree in India. The programme is for three years. The state government of Rajasthan launched the Ambedkar fellowship for the SC category to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the legendary Dr B R Ambedkar. 

Eligibility Criteria

Chief Minister's Higher Education Rajasthan Scholarship Scheme 

The Department of College Education under the state government offers the chief minister's higher education to students who have cleared the class XII exams with at least 60% marks. However, they should have enrolled for an ITI, polytechnic diploma or undergraduate degree to obtain the benefits of this Rajasthan scholarship scheme. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidates should have completed class XII.
  • They should have scored a minimum of 60% marks.
  • The candidates should be pursuing an undergraduate degree, ITI or polytechnic diploma.
  • The family income should not exceed INR 2,50,000 per annum.

Rewards 

A college education department will grant the Rajasthan scholarship amount to students with disabilities and those from low-income families each month in the academic year.

  • The selected students from low-income families will receive up to INR 500 per month for ten months.
  • The disabled students will receive INR 1,000 per month for ten months.

Rajasthan Yuva Vikas Prerak Internship Programme 

The State government offers internship programmes to the residents of Rajasthan through this Rajasthan yuva prerak internship programme. The programme is tenable for up to two years. Those with an undergraduate, postgraduate or PhD degree can apply to this Rajasthan scholarship scheme. Candidates in the final year of post-graduation or PhD students are also eligible to apply. 

Eligibility Criteria 

The Rajasthan scholarship eligibility criteria for the RYVP scheme are as follows:

  • The applicants should be between 18 to 35 years of age.
  • Students should hold an undergraduate degree in medicine, engineering, agriculture or law. However, they can have a postgraduate degree in any stream.
  • Candidates pursuing a PhD degree from an institution recognised by the Indian government can also apply to this Rajasthan scholarship scheme.
  • They should be well versed in MS Office and should have good written and verbal skills.

Benefits 

The State government will offer a consolidated stipend amount and communication allowance each month. The details of the rewards are as follows:

  • The selected interns will receive a stipend of INR 25,000 per month.
  • In addition, they will also receive INR 2,500 per month towards the mobile bill, and laptop charges.

Application Process for Rajasthan Scholarships 2024

Eligible students can apply for the Rajasthan scholarships online through the SJE (Social Justice Empowerment) portal. However, the system will lead the applicants to the Rajasthan single sign-on portal to complete the registration and application process. The candidates can contact the Rajasthan scholarship portal helpline number if they face any technical difficulties while submitting the application forms. Government of Rajasthan Social Justice and Empowerment Department (SJE) Portal 

Candidates who want to obtain the benefits of post-matric Rajasthan scholarships and Dr Ambedkar schemes can submit their applications through the Social Justice and Empower department's official portal. The list of the scholarships available on the Rajasthan scholarship portal is as follows

Rajasthan Single Sign-On Portal (SSO) 

The applicants applying for the chief minister scheme and internship scheme can visit the official Rajasthan scholarship single sign-on portal. Therefore, they can apply to the following Rajasthan scholarships directly from the SSO Rajasthan scholarship portal:

How to Apply on the SJE Portal? 

The state government of Rajasthan offers financial help to students pursuing post-matric studies. Therefore, the students can apply for post-matric scholarships through the social justice and empowerment department. The stepwise application process is as follows:

Step 1: The candidates should visit the official Rajasthan scholarships' SJE portal.

Step 2: Next, they should click on the scholarship portal available under the apply online/ e-services section.

Step 3: The candidates applying for the first time should register by clicking on the sign-up/register button.

Step 4: The system will direct the candidates to the Rajasthan single sign-on portal. There, they should click on the registration tab.

Step 5: The students can register through their Jan aadhaar and bhamashah enrollment numbers or Facebook and Google accounts.

Step 6: If candidates select the Google option, they should link their Gmail account by logging in and clicking on the link sent to them.

Step 7: After clicking on the link, the applicants will obtain an SSO ID. They should click on the tick mark to confirm the ID.

Step 8: Next, the candidates should enter a password and their valid mobile number.

Step 9: Now, the candidates should click on the register button and click on OK to complete the registration process for Rajasthan scholarships.

Offline Application 

Scheduled Caste (SC) students who want to apply to the Ambekar scholarship for overseas education and Ambedkar fellowship schemes should submit their applications by email and post. The students can obtain the application forms from the SJE portal. They should duly fill in the application form, attach the supporting documents and email it to secretaryapj@gmail.com. 

Additionally, they should send the hard copies of the application form and the documents by post to - Secretary, Ambedkar Peeth, Mandala, Jamwaramgarh, Jaipur, India. 

How to Apply on the Rajasthan Single Sign-On Portal? 

The application process for the chief minister's higher education and RYVP schemes is slightly different from the other Rajasthan scholarships. Given below are the steps to apply for the Rajasthan Yuva Vikas Prerak (RYVP) internship program.

Step 1: The candidates should visit the official Rajasthan single sign-on portal and log in with their credentials.

Step 2: After logging in, the applicants should click on the recruitment portal button.

Step 3: The system will lead the applicants to the Rajasthan recruitment website. There, they should click on the RYVP application link under the ongoing recruitment section.

Step 4: Next, they should fill in the application form, attach the required documents and submit them. 

For Chief Minister Higher Education Scheme 

Step 2: The candidates should select the Rajasthan scholarship scheme and fill in the application form.

Step 3: They should upload the necessary documents and click on the submit button.
