DU LLB 2018 News:

  • Plea: A request has been made at the Delhi Court to allow Hindi as one of the medium to take the DU LLB entrance exam.
  • No LLB Seat Cuts: A major relief to those aspiring to join the Delhi University (DU) Law Faculty, the Delhi High Court asked that 2,310 students should be admitted in the LLB course.

  • Fewer seats for general category students: General category students will face tougher competition while vying for LLB seats in Delhi University this academic session.


DU LLB 2018 Important Dates: 

  • Application Form: The DU LLB Application form 2018 will be available from 18th May 2018 to 1st June 2018.
  • Examination Date: The DU LLB 2018 will be held on 5th July 2018.

DU LLB Eligibility Criteria 2018:

  • Qualifications: For General and OBC candidates, a minimum Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from any of the Universities in India or in Foreign Universities with at least 50% marks. However, there's 10% relaxation offered for OBC students in DU LLB Entrance exam 2018. In DU LLB Entrance exam 2018, 5% relaxation is offered to the candidates belonging to physically handicapped (PH) and widows/wards of defence personnel (CW) category.

  • Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 20 Years and the maximum age limit is 23 Years. The age relaxation prevails as per government rules and regulations for all reserved candidates.

DU LLB Application Form 2018 

  • Application Process: Candidates must go through all the instructions and guidelines regarding the DU LLB application form 2018.Applicants can submit the DU LLB application form online. In order to complete the application process successfully candidate must enter details such as personal details, qualification details, contact details etc.

  • Application Fee: The application fee for DU LLB 2018 is INR 500/- for general and OBC category, the application fee for SC/ST is INR 250/-. The candidate can pay the application fee by credit/debit card/Paytm or by depositing fee in cash in the bank through e-challan. No refund of fee will take place

DU LLB 2018 Admit card:

  • Availability: The DU LLB admit card can be downloaded from 14th June 2018 onwards from the official website. Admit Card will be generated only for the applicants who complete the registration process for DU LLB 2018 successfully without any mistakes and who satisfies the eligibility criteria.
  • Credentials: To download the DU LLB 2018 admit card the candidates must submit their application number, date of birth and security pin in the admit card portal on the DU LLB official website.

DU LLB 2018 Examination pattern:

  • Exam Pattern: DU LLB 2018 Examination pattern consists of total 100 questions in the DU LLB examination all questions are multiple choice questions and medium of the examination is English. Until last year, there used to be 175 questions for a duration of 2 hours.

  • Marking Scheme: There is negative marking in the DU LLB 2018 examination pattern. There will be 4 marks are given to the candidate for each correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.

  • LLB Course The DU LLB 2018 syllabus includes the following: Jurisprudence, Criminal Law, Law of Contracts (General Principles), Constitutional Law of India, Public International Law, Law of Torts and Family Law (Marriage and Divorce).

  • LLM Course: The main topics for the LLM 2018 are as follows: Constitution of India, Law of Contracts and Sale of goods, Law of Torts and Consumer Protection, Family Law, Contemporary Legal Issues.

DU LLB 2018 Results:

  • Declaration: The DU LLB 2018 result will be announced two weeks after the examination on the DU LLB 2018 Official website. The result will be announced on 9th July 2018.
  • Credentials: Candidates need to enter their roll number and Date of Birth to view the results and download the DU LLB 2018 Scorecard. Candidates must take the print out of the scorecard for the further counselling process.

DU LLB 2018 Counselling process:

  • Procedure: There can be around five counselling sessions for students. The discussion will be done between the counselling members and shortlisted candidates. DU LLB 2018 Counselling will be done in the offline mode.

  • Payment: Candidates will be shortlisted and called out to attend counselling according to their merit in the examination. After all the formalities, the candidate is then required to submit the college course fee.

Paper Analysis of DU LLB 2018 :

  • Overall Difficulty level: The candidates who wrote DU LLB 2018 felt that the overall difficulty level of the examination was Moderate.

  • Paperwise difficulty: Candidates felt, while English, logical reasoning and Constitution, GK and Current affairs were moderate, the mathematics Paper was quite difficult to answer. But none of the questions asked in the exam was out of the syllabus.

  • Time limit problem: Candidates felt difficult to complete the Mathematics Paper in the given time compared to the other Papers.
