Introduction to CSSET 2019:

  • About: CSSET stands for Combined Shiksha Shastri Entrance Test. This examination is conducted by Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, Tirupati in the month of May, every year.

  • Conducting Authority: The Combined Shiksha Shastri Entrance Test (CSSET) is conducted for admission to three Sanskrit deemed Universities; Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha.

  • Course: The candidates who are qualified for CSSET 2019 will be offered admission to B.Ed program.

  • Exam Level: The CSSET 2019 is a National level Examination.

  • Frequency: The CSSET 2019 exam is conducted only once a year in India, offered for programs in the Bachelor of Education.

  • Pattern of Exam: It is divided into two parts namely – Part A and Part B. Part A is objective type with Multiple Choice Questions and consists of general awareness and teaching aptitude along with questions on Sanskrit language. Part B is subjective and tests candidates on the proficiency in English Language.

CSSET 2019 Important Dates:

  • Application Form: The candidates can start applying for CSSET 2019 from 15th January 2019. The deadline to complete the application process is on 10th March 2019 

  • Exam/Result: The CSSET 2019 exam will be conducted on 20th May 2019 and the results will be announced on 18th June 2019

CSSET 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Qualification: Candidates must have completed Shastri or B.A. (With Sanskrit) in 10+2+3 Scheme and/or M.A. (Sanskrit) from a recognized University with at least 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates) marks in the qualifying examination.

  • Age limit: A candidate applying for CSSET 2019 must have completed the age of 20 as on October 1, 2019.

CSSET 2019 Application Form:

  • Availability: The conducting university will release the application form for CSSET 2019 on the official website on 15th January 2019 

  • Payment: The online application fee for CSSET 2019 is INR 1200. The Payment of application fee can be done through online mode using credit card/ debit card or bank challan only.

  • Availability: Candidates who have successfully submitted the CSSET 2019 online application form can download the admit card from 25th April 2019 from the official website of CSSET.

CSSET 2019 Exam Pattern:

  • Mode: CSSET 2019 Examination is a Pen-Paper based exam.

  • Pattern/Duration: The CSSET question paper comprises of 2 parts; Objective and Subjective. The time duration for CSSET 2019 exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.

CSSET 2019 Counselling: 

  • Commencement: After the announcement of the results, the CSSET 2019 Counselling process will commence on 28th June 2019.

  • Merit list: The Merit List will be prepared based on the marks scored in accordance with their ranks. Candidates will be called for counselling and seat allotment on the basis of CSSET 2019 Merit List.

CSSET 2019 Eligibility

Eligibility Summary for CSSET 2019:

  • Minimum Marks: Candidates must have passed Shastri/B.A. (With Sanskrit) in 10+2+3 Scheme and/or M.A. (Sanskrit)/ Acharya or equivalent traditional degree from any University or recognized examining body having obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent grade. 

  • The students who have passed Shastri/B.A. (With Sanskrit) Two-year course from any University or recognized examining body should have secured at least 50% marks in the aggregate and or have passed Acharya Ist year /M.A. (Skt) Ist year/Setu (Bridge course)/Vidwanmadhyama/Vidwaduttama examination. For the eligibility of 50%, Shastri/B.A. (with Skt.) marks only will be considered.

  • Minimum marks for SC/ST: Eligibility conditions for candidates belonging to SC/ST/otherwise abled categories will be 45% marks in the qualifying examinations.

  • Mark sheets: The proof of having passed the qualifying examination should accompany the application. In case the result is awaited, it must be submitted (declared or confidential) at the time of admission; otherwise, the candidature of the applicant shall stand canceled.

  • Age Limit: A candidate seeking admission to Shiksha Shastri Course must have completed 20 years of age on or before 1 st October 2019. No age relaxation will be permitted.

CSSET 2019 Application Process

Application Process Summary for CSSET 2019:

  • Application: The applicants appearing for CSSET 2019 can fill prescribed online application from websites of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati and Shree Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, New Delhi.

  • Merit list: Only selected candidates in CSSET will be admitted in order of merit. This merit list will be valid for the year 2019 only.

  • Date: The application forms will be available from 15th January 2019.
  • Process: Candidates need to visit the official website of CSSET 2019, upload passport-size Photographs on the online application, select catchment area, fill the personal details i.e., Name, DOB, Mobile No. and Email Id etc. in stage 1 of the online application. After getting the User Id and Password via Mobile and Email apply online.

  • Note: Click Auto Up Gradation option, to apply for reconsideration in admission in preferred campus subject to availability according to merit only. Without the selection of Auto Up Gradation, the transfer will be not permissible after admission.

No, you cannot apply for the examination as there is no relaxation for the reserved category in the age criteria.
