  • Application Form: BITSAT 2019 Application Form will be available on the official website from 3rd January 2019 and the last date to submit the Application Form is on 13th March 2019

  • Admit Card: Admit Card will be announced by the conducting authority on the official website on 12th April 2019

  • Exam Date: BITSAT 2019 will be conducted as Computer-based Test (CBT Online) on 16th May 2019

  • Result Date: After the examination has been completed the result will be displayed on the screen as "No. of Questions with Correct Answer and Wrong Answer" and the Result will also be declared in the form of Scorecard by the authority on 1st July 2019

BITSAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria 

Eligibility Criteria for BE (Hons.), M.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. (Tech) Programs:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination from a Govt. recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their main subjects.

  • Must have secured a minimum of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.

Eligibility Criteria for B. Pharm (Hons.) Programs:

  • Students must have successfully passed 10+2 examinations from a Govt. recognized board with a minimum of 75% aggregate marks.

  • Must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subjects in Class 12

BITSAT 2019 Syllabus

  • Syllabus: There are no changes in BITSAT Syllabus. Candidates can refer their class 11 and 12 syllabi of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

  • Subjects: 40 questions are asked from Physics and Chemistry combined while 45 questions will be from Mathematics/ Biology.

  • Reference:

    • For the ease of candidates, BITSAT Mock/ Sample Test Papers and Previous Year Question Paper have been included in a separate section.

    • This will help the candidate to understand the pattern and important topics to be expected in BITSAT 2019.

BITSAT 2019 Exam Pattern 

  • Mode- BITSAT is conducted in online mode i.e Computer-based Test.

  • Duration- The time duration of the examination will be 3 hours i.e. 180 minutes.

  • Total Questions- 150 questions will be asked in the question paper.

  • Nature of Questions- All the question will be of Objective type.

  • Marking Scheme- For every correct answer (+) 3 marks will be awarded.

  • Negative Marking- For every incorrect response (-) 1 will be deducted.

  • Sections- Candidate has to answer questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English Proficiency, and Logical Reasoning.

  • Date: Admit Card will be available on the official website from 12th April 2019 which will be released by the conducting authority.

BITSAT 2019 Result

  • BITSAT Result will be announced online by the conducting authority on 1st July 2019

  • Result for BITSAT is released in two parts:

  • Part-1: Candidates can check their BITSAT Score just after they complete their exam. The computer screen will display the result in terms of a number of total correct answers and wrong answers along with the scores.

  • Part-2: Admit list and a Waitlist of iteration will also be released.

  • Adding to this, the college also releases a tentative score report online.

BITSAT 2019 Counselling

  • BITSAT 2019 Counselling process will commence from 23rd July 2019 which will be conducted by the university authority.

  • BITSAT 2019 Counselling will be conducted through 4 phases.

  • If BITSAT 2019 total score is the same for two candidates then, the candidate who obtained higher marks in Mathematics/ Biology will be given preference in allotment of seats.

  • Direct admissions will be given to all those students who will obtain the first rank in their respective State/ Central board exams, irrespective of their BITSAT 2019 Score.

  • There is no reservation in BITSAT 2019.

Scholarships for BITS

There are various kinds of scholarships available for the candidates but it is important to fulfil the eligibility criteria before applying for them.

Details about scholarships are given below:

  • Board Toppers- Candidates who have secured top 3 positions in 10+2 in their respective boards are given a merit scholarship of 100%, 75% and 50% of the first-semester tuition fee respectively for the first semester only.

  • Merit in Qualifying Examination

  • Students who have obtained 90% or above aggregate on the Qualifying Examination are to be given a merit scholarship of 20% of first-semester tuition fee. 

  • Students who have obtained 80% or above but less than 90% aggregate on the Qualifying Examination are to be given a merit scholarship of 15% of the first-semester tuition fee.

  • Merit in Competitive Examinations- Students who have appeared in AIEEE or IIT-JEE for admission to engineering programmes, are to be awarded scholarships ranging from 25%-75% in the first-year tuition fee depending on the score secured in the examination.

The syllabus of JEE Mains and BITSAT is same, except the topics which are listed below:-

Chemistry:- Petroleum, dynes, and drugs.

Mathematics:- statistics, exponential, and logarithmic series.

you can also go for BITSAT explorer book for practice the topics not included in jee mains.

To know about the application form keep an eye on the official site, as BITS doesn't advertise about BITSAT. You can also check on important dates for the application form and for other important dates too. Usually, the application form has been made available from December and the candidate an fill it by March.

What would be the Last date to apply for BITSAT 2017?

The Application Form to BITSAT 2017 can be submitted until the 10th of March 2017.

The Board will also provide you with a Window of correction for the BITSAT Application Forms from the 7th to the 10th of March.

All candidate are advised to give in their Application Form Fees to BITSAT before the 10th of March as well.
