What is DU JAT Exam?

DU JAT or simply known as JAT Exam is a national level entrance exam conducted for candidates seeking admission to Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis) and BA (Hons) Business Economics programs. Candidates applying for BBS/BMS/BFIA programs are required to appear and clear the DU JAT entrance test following which they have to appear in group discussion and personal interview. Candidates are offered admission to the BBE program only based on their performance in the entrance test.

DU JAT is an eligibility test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) once in a year for shortlisting candidates to UG Management programs in Colleges Affiliated to Delhi University.

It is a 2-hour Computer-based test conducted in almost 18 cities across India for Admission in 6 colleges which are under Delhi University. The dates mentioned below are the tentative dates and they may change accordingly and the application process of DU JAT is mentioned in the application process.

DU JAT 2020 exam dates have been announced by Delhi University. In 2020, the DU JAT entrance exam will be conducted on June 2 to 9. The application form will be released on March 2. The last date to fill the DU JAT application form is March 31, 2020. 

On the other hand, the DU JAT 2019 admission process is underway. The fourth admission list has been announced on August 22. Check here

DU JAT 2020 Eligibility

The Basic Eligibility Criteria for the candidates applying for DU JAT 2020 is that they should have passed Class 12 or any equivalent Exam.

Candidates who belong to General category should have scored a minimum of 60% in Class 12 and the candidates who belong to SC/ST/PWD should have scored 55% in Class 12. If the candidates satisfy this criterion they can apply for DU JAT 2020 Exam. Candidates will have to produce their Mark sheet during Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Candidates must fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria for DU JAT 2020 such as:

Academic Qualification:

  • Every candidate, to apply for the DU JAT 2020 exam must have qualified/cleared the board examinations, conducted by a recognized board. The Senior Secondary School Examination must be of CBSE or any other examination which was considered equivalent by the University of Delhi.

  • Candidates who had appeared in the senior secondary examinations and were awaiting their results were eligible to apply as well.

  • Candidates relating to the General Category should have an aggregate of a minimum of 60 percent in four papers including English, Mathematics and other two subjects from the list of elective subjects as approved by the University of Delhi. List of subjects is given below:

Each of these 4 sections will have 25 questions. The DU JAT Exam will have 100 questions and it is for 300 marks. These 4 sections will have various topics candidates will have to prepare according to the DU JAT 2020 Syllabus to crack the Exam.

Preparation Tips for DU JAT

Plan your work: Plan what you have to Study each day. Concentrate on all the sections that will be asked in the Exam.

DU JAT 2020 Exam Pattern

National Testing Agency (NTA) is in charge of conducting DU JAT. The DU JAT 2020 exam will be conducted online only. There will be 4 sections that the candidates will have to focus on, they are Quantitative Ability, Reasoning & Analytical Ability, General English, and Business and General Awareness.

Each of the above-mentioned sections will have 25 questions. Each question carries 3 marks. For each question that is not answered rightly 1 mark will be deducted from the total. The Exam will be held for 2 hours.

How To Register For DU JAT?

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to register for DU JAT 2020 Exam:

Step 2: Fill up the Credentials like Name, Date of Birth, and Email ID.

Step 3: After Filling this click on 'Submit'.

How to Apply for DU JAT?

Candidates will have to follow these steps to Apply for DU JAT:

Step 1: Enter Credentials like Personal details, Educational details, etc.

Step 2: Upload the image of a recent Photograph and Signature in the given Format.

Step 3: Pay the Application Fee.

Step 4: Take a printout of the Application Form for future reference.

To take up the exam, candidates will have to register and submit the DU JAT 2020 Application Form. The Application form will be available on the official website of the conducting authority from March 2, 2020.

DU JAT Admit Card 2020 

The candidates who have applied for DU JAT 2020 before the last date can download the Admit Card from the official website from April 30, 2020. The call letter is an important document which a candidate should carry to the exam hall.

DU JAT 2020 Admit card will have details like the Applicant Name, Test Center, date and instructions to the candidates. Along with the admit card candidates will have to carry photo ID proof. 

How to Download DU JAT Admit Card?

The candidates will have to follow the steps mentioned below to download the Admit Card from the official website:

DU JAT Exam Centers 2020 

The DU JAT 2020 exam will be held in 18 Prominent cities across India. The candidates will get an option to choose the exam center while filling the Application Form of DU JAT.

The NTA can change the Examination Centers opted by candidates. Once opted the exam center cannot be changed. Candidates will have to choose a city that is convenient for them.

DU JAT Results 2020 

The DU JAT 2020 Result will be announced on the official website of the conducting authority on June 25, 2020. The DU JAT result will be in the form of a list containing the Name of the candidate, Number of questions attempted, number of questions which are correct and wrong, total marks, etc.

The university will release results in 3 lists. The University of Delhi releases the rank list first and then the institutions start selecting the candidates based on the Ranks they have scored and the percentage in class 12.

DU JAT Cutoff 2020 

The centralized cutoff is announced by the Delhi University (DU). The cutoff will be announced from time to time with the procedure of admission and based on the number of seats available.

Every college participating will have its Eligibility criteria and cutoff based on the number of seats available.

The factors that influence DU JAT cutoff are as follows:

  • The total number of applicants
  • Category of the applicant
  • Seats offered by an Institution
  • The number of seats available in a particular course.

Selection Process of DU JAT 

The DU JAT Selection process is only for the candidates who obtain cutoff. This process will start only after the results have been declared most likely the selection process of DU JAT 2020 will start in July.

DU JAT Counselling 2020 

The candidates who get higher rank will get an opportunity in the first round of DU JAT 2020 Counseling. After the first round of counseling, a new Cutoff list will be released on the official website.

The candidates whose rank will be in the Cutoff list can attend the next round of Counseling. This process continues until the Seats are available.


Q. Is there any special seat for NCC cadets?

Ans. There is no Special quota for NCC.

Q. Is there GD and PI?

Ans. Yes, After clearing the entrance exam the candidates will be called for GD and PI.

Q. Can I register Offline for the DU JAT Entrance exam?

Ans. Yes, you can either register for it Online or Offline.

Ans. There is no such eligibility for filling DU JAT Application form 2020. However, the candidate should have completed his intermediate before applying for DU JAT.

Ans. Candidates have to keep the following documents ready before filling DU JAT application form 2020.

  • High School Marksheet

  • Class XII Marksheet

  • Category Certificate ( if any)

Ans. The application fee for general category is Rs 500. For other categories it is Rs. 250.

Ans. DU JAT exam is a computer-based Test composed of objective type questions only.

Ans. DU JAT is usually conducted once in a year for the undergraduate program.

Ans. There is no age bar to appear in DU JAT 2020 exam.
