What is TNTET?
TNTET full form is Tamil Nadu Teaching Eligibility Test. Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) of Tamil Nadu conducts Teachers Eligibility Test on 6th October 2019. It is a state level examination for the recruitment of candidates into the teaching field. In TNTET there are 2 papers om TNTET Paper I for second-grade teacher and Paper II for a graduate teacher.

TRB prepares the merit list only. All matters concerning Appointments and Posting should get clarified from the concerned User Departments
TRB released the notification for TNET Exam on 2o8th February 2019. In that notification, it gave various information about application form date, eligibility etc. Later it announced TNTET Exam Dates and admit card release dates. TRB is yet to announce the results date. These dates as officially released by the conducting authority is given below:

TRB has set the eligibility criteria for Paper-I and Paper-II. Candidates should clear the eligibility else they will be subject to rejection under the authority of TRB. Applicants should be older than 18 and shouldn't cross the age limit of 40. The academic qualification required for both papers are given below:
Minimum educational qualifications for applicants to attend Paper-I are:
- Candidates should have done higher secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks. And he/she should have passed or should be appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or any other name it is known by.
- Applicants should have passed higher secondary or it's equivalent with at least 45% marks. Along with this candidates should have passed in a two-year diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE regulations 2002. Final year candidates also can apply
- Students who have done Higher Secondary education or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks. They should have passed or should be appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
- Aspirants should have cleared Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. Along with it they should have passed or should be appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Candidate should be doing graduation and passed/appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Applicants should have done graduation with 505 marks and passed/appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
Note: Candidates should note that if they have passed in D.T.ed./D.Ele.Ed. from other stated than Tamil Nadu then they should submit an evaluation certificate
The qualification required to become 1st to 5th class teacher:12th class with B.Ed or Nursery Teacher Training Degree with having two years BTC in Urdu
The qualification required to become 6th to 8th Class Teacher:-
Graduation with B.Ed with 50 % marks.
Age Limit: The candidates must be between 18-40 years of age.
TNTET 2019 Vacancy:
Job Posts: TNTET2019 is conducted for recruitment, to Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test.
Vacancies: The total number of vacancies for posts offered through TNTET recruitment for the year 2019 is 360.
Reservations will be applicable for SC/ST and OBC candidates.
TNTET 2019 Recruitment:
Pay scale: TNTET 2019 offers a pay scale from 5200-20,200 (as per the post).
Notification: TNTET Recruitment 2019 notification will be released on 5th July 2019.
TNTET 2019 Syllabus
Subjects: The syllabus for Paper-1 and Paper-2:
Paper-1: Child Development & Pedagogy, Tamil, English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies And Science
Paper-2: Child Development & Pedagogy, Tamil, English, Mathematics And Science, Social Science
TNTET 2019 Exam Pattern:
TNTET 2019 examination is comprised of two papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II. Both the papers will be held in the last week of April 2019. TNTET 2019will be a pen paper based examination.
Paper-1: Paper-1 will be set for a total of 150 marks and will have objective type questions and Candidates will be provided 3 hours to complete the test.
Paper-2: Paper-2 will be set for a total of 150 marks and will have objective type questions. Candidates will be provided 3 hours to complete the test.
TNTET 2019 Registration:
Mode: Candidate needs to visit the official website of TNTET 2019 for filling the online application form. Candidates can pay the application fee through both online and offline modes.
- The application forms can be purchased from Head Masters of Higher Secondary Schools notified by TRB, Tamil Nadu.
Application Fee: For candidates belonging to General/OBC candidates fee is INR.500. INR 250 For Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Female.
TNTET 2019 Admit Card:
Availability: Candidates need to visit the official website of TNTET 2019 Exam to download TNTET Admit card 2019. The admit card will be released on the official website on 6th September 2019.
Download: The applicants will have to submit their application number, date of birth and security pin to download TNTET 2019 admit card.
TNTET 2019 Result:
Official website: TNTET 2019 results will be published on the official website (trb.tn.nic.in).
Date: After the one month of the TNTET 2019 exam results will be announced on the official website. The tentative date of result declaration is 9th November 2019.
Passing mark: Candidates have to clear both paper-1 and paper-2 with an average mark of 60%.
Validity: The scorecard of TNTET exam 2019 will be valid for a total of 7 years.
