TNTET 2022 practice test link for the exam is released on the TRB official website. Candidates appearing for the exam should attempt the practice test to familiarise themselves with the exam pattern. It will also help them better understand their preparedness for the exam and manage their time effectively for the test. 

The exam date for paper 2 is not released as of now and the candidates can keep checking the website for official notification regarding paper 2 dates.

Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TNTET) is an eligibility exam conducted by the Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) for candidates aspiring to be teachers, for primary and upper primary students across the state of Tamil Nadu. Candidates who clear the TNTET exam are considered to be eligible to apply as teachers in government schools. The candidate has to attempt two papers (Paper-I and Paper-II) to clear the exam and get the certificate, which has lifetime validity.

Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) released the Annual Recruitment Planner 2022, and as per the notice the TNTET 2022 paper 2 exam is expected to be conducted in Aug/Sep 2022 tentatively. About TNTET

The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) of Tamil Nadu conducts the Teacher Eligibility Test to determine the eligibility of the candidates as teaching professional to teach students of classes one to eight. The candidates who will qualify TNTET exam will be awarded an eligibility certificate with a validation period of seven-year and will be considered eligible for Primary & Upper Primary Level posts of teachers in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is a state-level competitive exam for the recruitment of candidates into the teaching field. In TNTET 2022 there are 2 papers which are TNTET 2022 Paper I and Paper II.

TNTET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates aspiring for TNTET 2022 exam must check the eligibility criteria before appearing for the exam. The Teachers Recruitment Board has set the eligibility criteria for TNTET 2022 Paper-I and Paper-II. Candidates should fulfil all the eligibility criteria in terms of age limit, nationality and educational qualifications, else they will be subjected to rejection under the authority of TRB.

Nationality

Candidate must be an Indian citizen to be eligible for TNTET 2022 exam.

Age Limit

Applicants should be older than 18 and shouldn't cross the age limit of 40. For the reserved & special category, there will be the advantage of age relaxation.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for TNTET 2022 Paper-1 can have either of the qualifications listed below.

Minimum educational qualifications for applicants to attend the Paper-I are

  • Candidates should have done higher secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks. And he/she should have passed or should be appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or any other name it is known by.
  • Applicants should have passed higher secondary or its equivalent with at least 45% marks. Along with this candidates should have passed in a two-year diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE regulations 2002. Final year candidates also can apply.
  • Students should have done Higher Secondary education or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks. They should have passed or should be appearing in the final year of 4 years of Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
  • Aspirants should have cleared Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. Along with it they should have passed or should be appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Candidate should be doing graduation and passed/appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Applicants should have done graduation with 50% marks and passed/appeared in the final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)

Note: Candidates should note that if they have passed in D.T.ed./D.Ele. Ed. from other states than Tamil Nadu then they should submit an evaluation certificate.

Candidates applying for TNTET 2022 Paper-2 can have either of the qualifications listed below.

Minimum Educational Qualifications for Applicants To Attend The Paper-II

  • Candidates should have done graduation and passed/appeared in the final year of two years of Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Applicants should have done graduation with at least 50% marks. And they should have passed or should be appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
  • Students should have done graduation with at least 45% marks. They should have passed or should be appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE Regulations.
  • Aspirants should have passed Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. They should have also passed or should be appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
  • Students should have passed higher secondary with at least 50% marks. They should have passed or should be appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed.
  • Candidates should have done graduation with at least 50% marks. They should have also passed or should be appearing in the final year of B.Ed (Special Education).
  • A candidate who has B.Ed qualification from an institute which is recognized by the NCTE eligible to appear in TET.
  • Students who are pursuing any of the teacher education courses which are recognized by the NCTE or the RCI.

TNTET 2022 Admit Card

TNTET 2022 hall tickets for paper 1 release date has been postponed due to administrative reasons. Candidates need to visit the official website of Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) to download TNTET 2022 admit card when it is released. If a candidate has applied for both paper 1 and paper 2, he/she has to download both admit cards separately. The release date of TNTET 2022 admit card will be updated once the notification is out.

  • Step 1: Candidates need to visit the official website of TNTET 2022.
  • Step 2: In the homepage, candidates need to click on the "log in" button.
  • Step 3: Next, candidates have to log in by entering their Email ID/User Name and Password which were filled at the time TNTET 2022 application form submission.
  • Step 4: After the successful login, candidates should click on “Generate Admit Card”. The admit card will be displayed on the screen.

Note: Once all the candidates have submitted the application form, the Tamil Nadu Recruitment Board (TRB) will not allow them to make any corrections to TNTET 2022 application form. So they have to fill in all the details carefully and proofread once before submitting the form.

Examination Fee

TNTET 2022 examination fee for the general category candidates is INR 500. If the applicants belong to the reserved category (i.e., SC, SCA, ST, or Person with Disability) they should pay an examination fee of INR 250. Candidates must enter their category details correctly when filling out TNTET 2022 application form since the TRB has announced no refund policy.

TNTET 2022 Application Process

TRB has released the application form for TNTET 2022 online and the candidates could follow these steps to fill the application form:

  • Step 1: Candidates need to visit the official website of the Teachers Recruitment Board - trb.tn.nic.in
  • Step 2: On the homepage of the website, click on "Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) – 2022". A new page will be redirected. 
  • Step 3: Fill in all the mandatory details in TNTET application form. Candidates must provide their personal details such as parent's name, gender, religion, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, category etc and education details such as graduation degree, year of passing, CGPA/percentage obtained etc.
  • A unique user ID and password will be generated at the time of form filling. The valid email address and phone number will be used for communication until the announcement of results.
  • Step 4: Upload the recent passport size photo of the candidate and the scanned image of the signature. The specifications of the document are given in TNTET 2022 application form section
  • Step 5: In the final step candidates must pay the fee online through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card. You should remember that there is no option to pay the fee through any offline modes.
  • Step 6: Submit the application form before the mentioned date. After the application form is duly submitted, the candidate must download and take a printout of the completed TNTET 2022 application form for future references.

Note:

  • Candidates need to use separate applications for Paper I and Paper-II.
  • Any application form without an image and/or signature will be rejected.
  • Candidates have to fill in the application form with utmost care. Else if they make a mistake then TRB won't entertain any correspondences regarding such matters and will reject the application form.

TNTET 2022 Exam Pattern

TNTET 2022 exam paper pattern along with the syllabus is given below and will help the students to plan ahead and prepare for the exam. The question paper will consist of only MCQs type of questions. This means the candidates have to select one correct answer out of given multiple options.

TNTET 2022 Results

TNTET 2022 results will be published on the official website (trb.tn.nic.in). After the one month of TNTET 2022 exam, results will be announced on the official website. TRB will release notification on the official website which will contain details about TNTET Result 2022 Date. Once it is released we will update the result date and other information.

Candidates have to clear both Paper-1 and Paper-2 with an average mark of 60%.The scorecard of TNTET exam 2022 will be valid for a duration of 7 years.

TNTET Recruitment

TRB does not offer recruitment through TNTET. Candidates should take another exam related to recruitment. TNTET will give a score which will be valid for 7 years. This score will be used as one of the factors for recruitment.

General Instructions

The following are the general instructions that the candidates should keep in mind during recruitment.

  • Candidates who have scored marks 60% or above in TNTET in either of the papers will receive a pass certificate. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will get a relaxation of 5%.
  • TNTET Score is valid for a duration of 7 years.
  • TNTET certificate doesn't guarantee you a job as a teacher. It merely serves as one of the factors in appointment as a teacher.
  • According to School Education (TRB) Department, as per G.O.(Ms)No.149 dated 20.07.2018, The candidates who have qualified TNTET will have to appear another competitive exam which is related to recruitment.
