PESSAT 2018 Introduction:

  • PESSAT is the first step in the PES University admissions process and should be taken by all students who are applying for PES University programs

  • PESSAT is an Online exam testing candidates in four main areas according to the stream they have chosen. Candidates have to first register themselves by filling in details such as course/stream of interest, gender, date of birth, email ID on the PES website.

  • Aspirants will be shortlisted for admissions in PES University on the basis of their test score as well as their performance in the personal interview.

  • PESSAT 2019 engineering admissions: The test is conducted at various test centres located all over the country in May 2019. Application forms are now available on the university website from 21st September 2018. 

  • PESSAT 2019 for other courses: The test is conducted only at PES University campus in Bangalore. The test will be held between 1st May 2019 and 15th May 2019. Application forms are now available on the university website from 21st September 2018. 

  •  NOTE: PESSAT 2019 would not be applicable for admissions at PESIT South Campus, PESIMSR & PES Central Campus.

Courses Offered for PESSAT 2019:

Candidates can secure admission into programs such as;

  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech),

  • Bachelor of Design (B.Des),

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA),

  • Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)

  • BBA in Hotel and Event Management,

  • Master of Technology (M.Tech),

PESSAT 2019 Application Fee:

  • Application Fee: The fee for the PESSAT exam is Rs. 1050/- which can either be paid online through a debit/credit card or by issuing a demand draft in favour of 'PES University General Fund' which is payable in Bangalore.

  • Candidates who have paid through challan or DD should submit the challan or DD along with the printed application to the below address.

 PESSAT 2019 Exam Pattern

  • Exam mode: The exam is an online exam for all courses except B.Des where it is a pen and paper-based exam. 

  • Duration: B.Tech: 3 Hours

  • Duration for Other courses: 2 Hours

  • Number of Questions: B.Tech: 180 questions 

  • Number of Questions for Other courses: 120 questions

  • Interview: Candidates will have a short interview on the day of the exam.

PESSAT 2018 Admit Card:

  • Availability: The availability of admit card for PESSAT 2019 exam will be from 21st April 2019.

  • Download: Candidates need to download the admit card from the official website of PES University.

PESSAT 2019 Results:    

  • Results can be checked online on the PES website by entering the candidate's register number and date of birth. Candidates are shortlisted based on their exam scores and the performance in the interview. 

  • B.Tech: The results will be announced on 28th May 2019.  

  • Other Courses: The results of other courses will be declared after a week from the date of examination.

  • The important dates for the B.Tech course are as follows: -

  • PESSAT registration date: The PESSAT registration process will begin on September 21st, 2017 and will end on April 12th, 2017 for the students from outside Bengaluru while the last date to register for the students in Bengaluru is April 17th, 2017.

  • PESSAT slot booking: The PESSAT slot booking will begin on April 21st, 2017.

  • PESSAT exam date: The PESSAT exam will be held in the first week of May 2017.

  • Eligibility criteria regarding Under-graduate courses: To apply for the  BTech/BE (Biotechnology/ Civil Engineering/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering) course the candidates have to score 60% in PCM in 12th standard or any equivalent. PESSAT 2019 Application Process

  • Procedure: The candidates can obtain the application form from the official website. The candidates have to click on the registration link and then fill up the form. The candidate needs to pay the application fee and upload his/her photograph. Candidates need to take a print out of the form once it has been filled. If the candidate has paid the fees by way of a challan then the application form and the challan should be printed and taken to the bank for payment. A hard copy of the application along with a copy of the stamped challan should be submitted to the bank.
  • Application fee: The application fee can be paid online or offline. The application fee can be paid using debit card/credit card/net banking. For the online mode of payment, candidates are required to obtain a Demand draft from any nationalized bank.

  • PART 1: The candidate is required to fill some personal details such as course, name, gender, email id etc. Once this is done, click on "Proceed" and then click on "Edit/Confirm" button. A personal details page will appear.
  • PART 2: The candidate is required to fill details such as category, mother tongue, citizenship, address etc. Once this is done, click on "Continue" to upload your photograph from the required path.

  • PART 3: You can choose to upload the photograph later by entering the registration number, date of birth and gender details. Click on the "Confirm" button to move to the payment gateway.

  • Admit card Date: The PESSAT admit card will be available in the month of April 2017 for the B.Tech program while the admit card will be available in the month of January for the other programs.

  • The eligibility criteria for getting admission into PES University, formerly known as PESIT is that you have to pass the 12th board exam with a minimum of 60% in the stream of PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics). 
  • The students have to clear the PESSAT exam to get admission in this college.
  • On the basis of merit, one is given priority to get admission in this university.
  • Cutoff's for CSE, ISE are relatively lower compared to electronics, electrical, mechanical and civil engineering streams.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

  • Since the PES became a university in 2013, It does not takes students through the COMED-K exams anymore. PESSAT is the entrance exam setup for admissions.
  • Registrations for PESSAT can be done online, also a preferred date can be selected among the given slots. The test can be taken in one of the various test centers listed.
  • To be eligible for this examination, the student should have scored a 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 12th STD or 2nd PUC or any other equivalent.
  • The procedure for online registrations usually happens sometime around April, and the results come out during the last week of May.
  • Selection of branch or counseling occurs in June and depends on your rank. There are two rounds of counseling and students should preferably attend both, if the desired branch is not available in the first.
  • The cut-off for the CSE course is 600 ranks and for ECE course 800 ranks are required.

The last date to register for students from outside Bengaluru is April 10, 2017, while students in Bengaluru can register until April 17, 2017.

The candidates who hail from bangalore can fill in their registrations for PESSAT till the 17th of April 2017, while the candidates coming in from other regions can fill their regitrations only till the 10th of April 2017.
