NEET MDS 2023 Results

NEET MDS 2023 results were declared online on Mar 10, 2023, on the official website. The scorecards will be released on the official website and the candidates can download the same using their login credentials. NEET MDS 2023 cut off marks will be released soon based on which, the qualification of the candidates are decided.

NEET MDS 2023 merit list for 50% All India Quota will also be released after the result declaration. Candidates who fall under the NEET MDS 2023 result cum merit list PDF will be able to download the same from nbe.edu.in. The validity of NEET MDS results shall be only for the current admission session, i.e., 2023-24 and cannot be carried forward for the next session of admissions for MDS courses.

About NEET MDS

National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS 2023) is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission in various Post Graduate MDS Courses under the Dentists Act, 1948. No entrance examination, other than NEET MDS, either at the state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MDS Courses as per the Dentists Act, 1948.

The scores obtained in both, NEET BDS and NEET MDS, will be accepted in all the top-ranking medical colleges, top-ranking dental colleges- government and private - at all India levels.
All India 50% quota seats for MDS courses (all states except Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Telangana). State quota seats for MDS courses for all States/ Union territories of India (including the states of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Telangana).

National Board of Examinations (NBE) conducts NEET MDS 2023 Exam which was established by the Government of India in 1975. NEET MDS Exam is organized as a National level examination for admission into the Master of Dental Science (MDS). NEET MDS Exam takes place once a year. NEET MDS is conducted online i.e. Computer-based Test (CBT) which contains MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) with a single correct response.

NEET MDS 2023 Eligibility

It is advised that the candidate check NEET MDS 2023 eligibility criteria before filling the application form for the examination. The eligibility criteria for NEET MDS 2023 are detailed below.

NEET MDS 2023 candidate must have passed Bachelor of Dental Surgery awarded by a university or institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and have undergone a compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/recognized dental college.

NEET MDS 2023 Eligibility for All India 50% Quota

Following are the eligibility requirements for NEET MDS 2023 All India 50% Quota candidates.

Candidates who have studied/passed BDS from the state of Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for 50% NEET MDS All India Quota seats.
However, the candidates who were nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to do BDS from Dental Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir shall be eligible to apply for admission in NEET MDS.
Such candidates must submit a duly signed affidavit declaring that they are nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to do BDS from Dental Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir to the official address along with the printout of the acknowledgement of submission of online application for NEET MDS 2023.
Candidates who are pursuing their final year UG will be accepted by the board. However, the candidates must complete their internship program before NEET MDS 2023 exam.

Note: To be eligible for NEET MDS 2023 applicants have to finish their internship before the cut-off date i.e., Mar 31, 2023.

NEET MDS 2023 Application Form

NEET MDS 2023 application form was released by NBE on the official website on Jan 9, 2023, along with the information bulletin. The last date to register was extended till Feb 12, 2023. Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements set forth by the conducting body before applying for the exam. To access the application form, candidates must complete the registration process by entering the required details.

NBE opened the application correction window on Feb 15, 2023. Candidates were able to use this facility to edit the uploaded photograph, photograph captured through webcam, signature, and thumb impression according to the guidelines laid down by the authorities on the official website was held from Feb 17 - 19, 2023. No further opportunity was provided to rectify the incorrect images after this time period which may lead to the non-issuance of admit cards.

Through the official website, NEET MDS 2023 application form can be filled. NEET MDS 2023 application form does not let a candidate change major information such as Gender, Name, Date of Birth, etc. So, a candidate must fill their NEET MDS form carefully and review it before submission.

NEET MDS 2023 Admit Card

NEET MDS 2023 admit card has been released on Feb 22, 2023, on the official website. The admit cards will only be issued to those candidates who complete the application process, pay the requisite fee and submit the required documents within the stipulated time. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website using their login credentials, and affix their latest passport size photograph in the space provided.

NEET MDS 2023 admit card will not be sent to the candidates by post, the candidate must download it by themselves through online mode only. Candidates can download NEET MDS 2023 admit card by signing into their profile and entering the registration number and passcode on the official website.
NEET MDS 2023 candidate must carry any one of their ID proof during the day of the exam such as PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving License, Passport, and Aadhar Card. NEET MDS 2023 admit card contains the personal details, exam centre, photograph and signature of the aspirant.

NEET MDS 2023 consists of 51 exam centres located across different cities in the country. Candidates will be permitted to choose the NEET MDS 2023 exam centre their choice while filling out the application form.

NEET MDS 2023 Exam Pattern

NEET MDS 2023 will be conducted online as a computer-based test (CBT), as per the scheme prescribed. NEET MDS 2023 comprises 240 Multiple Choices Questions (MCQs) with a single correct response. Candidates will be given 3 hours i.e., 180 minutes to complete the examination. 4 marks will be awarded for the correct response and 1 mark will be deducted for the incorrect response. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions. NEET MDS 2023 question paper will be in the English language.

NEET MDS 2023 Cut Off

NEET MDS 2023 cut-off released on the official website by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). Previously, the minimum qualifying percentiles were lowered in accordance with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

NEET MDS cut off is predefined by the organizing authorities and comes into function once the results are announced on the official website. NEET MDS 2023 cut off released, and the qualifying applicants will be eligible for admission to the MDS courses in India.

NEET MDS 2023 Counselling

NEET MDS 2023 counselling will be conducted after the exam results are declared. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their NEET MDS scores and the seat matrix of the participating colleges. There will be 2 counselling rounds after which, mop-up and stray vacancy rounds will be held based on the available seat vacancy.

There shall be common a NEET MDS counselling for admission to all post-graduate courses (Diploma/MDS) in all dental educational institutions based on the merit list of NEET. In case, any dispute arises on such common NEET MDS counselling, the matter to the Central Government and its decisions shall be final, in this regard.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will conduct NEET MDS 2023 counselling. The counselling process which is done on the behalf of MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) will be conducted purely online for admission to 1300 MDS seats available nationwide under All India Quota (AIQ).

NEET MDS 2023 counselling process will have 2 or more rounds, depending upon the filling of seats. Candidates who fail to submit the fee in due time of NEET MDS counselling round will not get the seat. And that seat will be open to competing in the next round.

NEET MDS 2023 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates planning to appear for NEET MDS 2023 examination must keep the below-mentioned points in mind.

The selection and admission to postgraduate seats under NEET MDS in any dental institutions recognized for running MDS courses as per Dentists Act, 1948 is subject to fulfilling the admission, eligibility, medical fitness, and such criteria as may be prescribed by the respective universities, medical institutions, Dental Council of India, State/Central Government.
Applications of NEET MDS candidates producing false or fabricated information will not be considered and candidates may be further debarred from appearing in any future examinations conducted by NBE/ MoHFW/ Other Institutions. Incomplete applications or applications not per instructions will not be considered and are liable to be rejected. The examination fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Candidates’ NEET MDS eligibility is purely provisional & is subject to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria as prescribed by the NBE/ DCI/ University/ Dental College or Institute.
Requests are not entertained for a change in the examination centre or city. Absentees from NEET MDS examination will forfeit their examination fee. Possession/Use of mobile phones/Electronic devices is strictly prohibited in the premises of NBE test centres.
Candidates will not be allowed to leave NEET MDS examination premises until the entire duration of the exam is up except genuine medical conditions.
