AIIMS PG is a national level entrance examination conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Science, New Delhi for admission in Postgraduate. Through this entrance exam, admission will be offered in MD/MS/M.Ch.(6 years)/DM(6 years)/MDH courses.
Candidates qualifying the test will get admission in various AIIMS, New Delhi and six other AIIMS (Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur & Rishikesh). This exam is conducted twice every year in January and July.

What is AIIMS PG?
About: The full form of AIIMS PG is All India Institute of Medical Sciences Post Graduate Entrance Exam. The AIIMS PG entrance exam is for taking admission into MD, MS, M.Ch., DM, and MDS. It is a National level exam controlled by AIIMS, New Delhi.
Conducting Body: AIIMS PG is conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.
Frequency: AIIMS PG entrance examination conducted by AIIMS in January and July every year.
Level: AIIMS PG is a National Level Entrance Examination.

AIIMS PG 2020 Important Dates
Registration Date: Application Form is available on the official website i.e. https://www.aiimsexams.org/ from November 27, 2019 to February 10, 2020.
Admit Card: After successfully registering for the AIIMS PG 2020, the Admit Card will be available online for the candidate soon.
Examination: AIIMS will conduct AIIMS PG 2020 through Online i.e. Computer-based Test (CBT) on June 11, 2020.
Results: They will declare the result on the official website for all the category candidates tentatively on June 18, 2020.

AIIMS PG 2020 Eligibility
- For MD/ MS degree, a candidate needs to hold an MBBS degree from any university duly recognized by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Councils.
- For MDS degree, a candidate needs to hold a BDS degree from any university duly recognized by the Dental Council of India or State Dental Council is mandatory for getting admission.
- The candidates must have secured 55% marks for General/ OBC category candidates and 50% marks for SC/ ST category candidates.
Rotatory Internship: A candidate must have completed his or her 12-month rotating Internship/ Practical Training by July 30, 2020. Candidates who cannot complete the said internship within the period till July 30, 2020, will be ineligible for registration of this examination.
Citizenship: The candidates applying for AIIMS PG 2020 must be an Indian citizen to satisfy AIIMS PG 2020 eligibility criteria. Anyone other than Indian is not allowed to apply for AIIMS PG 2020 Registration.
AIIMS PG 2020 Syllabus
AIIMS PG examination will be based on the syllabus prescribed by conducting authority. Aspirants must ensure they do extensive preparation on all the topics to crack AIIMS PG 2020

AIIMS PG 2020 Exam Pattern

Mode: AIIMS PG 2020 will be conducted through online mode i.e. Computer-based Test (CBT)
Question Type: The question paper will be of Multiple Choice Question's (MCQ's)
No. of Questions: For MD/ MS - 200 MCQ's and For MDS - 90 MCQ's
Duration: For MD/ MS - 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM (3 Hours) and For MDS - 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM (3 Hours).
Marks: Marks given for the answers are +1 Mark for Correct Answers and 1/3rd mark will be deducted for Incorrect Answers.
Medium: The question will be in English medium.
AIIMS PG 2020 Application Form
Registration Date: AIIMS PG 2020 Application Form is available on the official website i.e. https://www.aiimsexams.org/ from November 27, 2019 and the last date to submit the AIIMS PG 2020 Application Form is February 10, 2020.
For General & OBC: INR 1500 + Transaction Charges as applicable
For SC/ ST: INR 1200 + Transaction Charges as applicable
A person with Benchmark Disability (PWBD): There is NO Application Fee for PWBD category candidates.
Payment Mode: Candidates must pay the registration fee through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking. Offline payment is not available for AIIMS PG 2020.
AIIMS PG 2020 Application Process
Registration: Candidates should register on the official website of AIIMS PG 2020 before proceeding for the examination.
Correction of Image: After one week of Closing of Registration candidate will get one week for correction of rejected Images.
Log in: After registration candidates must log in with the credentials provided after the registration process.
Fill the Details: Candidates should fill the Personal, Academic, Contact, City Choice and Payment details.
Fee payment: Candidates should pay the Application Fee to complete the AIIMS PG 2020 Application Process.

AIIMS PG 2020 Exam Centres
Centre: AIIMS PG 2020 will be conducted in 63 centres of the cities across India.
Choice: Applicants should indicate his/her choice of the city of examination at the time filling the Application Form.
Chance of Centre: The city of examination once chosen and allotted will not be changed and any request in this regard will not be entertained. Applicants should, therefore, indicate the choice of the city with the utmost care.
Cancellation: The conducting authority has the right to cancel or change the Exam Centre if necessary. Candidate has to accept the changes.
- The candidate must be present one hour before to the AIIMS PG 2020 Exam Centre for the verification, if not the candidates won't be allowed to write the examination.
- Candidates have to carry Admit Card along with any Government Id to the Exam Centre on the day of the examination.
- Other accessories (any Electronic devices, other papers, Any kind of folder, water bottle) will not be entertained at the exam hall.
AIIMS PG 2020 Admit Card
Availability: The authority declared that the Admit Card for AIIMS PG will be available online.
Details: The Admit Card contain details such as Name of Candidate, Roll Number, Date of Birth, Photograph, Signature, Examination Date, Exam Time, Exam Venue.
Without Admit Card: Candidates won't be allowed to appear for the examination without their Admit Cards as it serves as a Hall Ticket.
No Postal: The admission committee will not send AIIMS PG 2020 Admit Card to any candidate individually through postal. Admit card will be available only on the official website of AIIMS.
AIIMS PG 2020 Result
Result Date: The Result will be available tentatively from June 18, 2020 on the official website. All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi is the authority that declares the AIIMS PG 2020 Results.
Scorecard: The scorecard is uploaded on the AIIMS official website. Applicants have to take the printout of the scorecard for their future use.
Merit List: AIIMS, New Delhi is responsible for publishing the merit list on its official website. AIIMS separately prepares the two types of merit list i.e. overall rank wise and roll number wise.
Cut-off: Cut-off marks are the minimum marks that are required by the candidate to appear in the merit list and shortlisted for counselling. The cut-off marks will be decided by the examination authority of AIIMS, New Delhi. Different categories have different cut-off scores.
AIIMS PG 2020 Counselling
Counselling Date: The counselling for AIIMS PG 2020 will commence tentatively from last week of May, 2020.
No. of Rounds: The counselling will be conducted in 3 different rounds.
Call for Counselling: All the shortlisted candidates will be called for AIIMS PG 2020 Counselling according to their rank in the merit list. Student’s final admission will be based on their performance during the exam.
- Firstly, students will be called for the counselling process based on their ranks in the merit list
- Secondly, the reserved category candidates will be called for counselling to fill the seats
- Students must be physically present at the time of counselling. They will be allocated seats based on their rank and order of preference.
AIIMS PG 2020 Exam Instructions
- The mode of examination is an online i.e. Computer-based Test (CBT). AIIMS PG aspirants should take a few mock tests as experience.
- The test will begin exactly at the time mentioned on the AIIMS PG Admit Card. A prior announcement will be made by the invigilator.
- The duration of the exam is 3 hours for MS/ MD and 1.5 hours for MDS.
- All questions will carry equal marks i.e. 1.
- There will be only one correct answer for each question from the given four options.
- Negative marking scheme will be employed for evaluating the answers. Applicants should only answer the question if they are sure about it.
- Unanswered questions will not affect the total marks
- One mark will be allotted for each correct answer while 1/3rd marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Applicants are required to sign the attendance sheet.
- Admit card should be carried along with a photo identity proof.
