In some companies there are three levels of management:
The top level management constitutes the board of directors, chief executive officer, president of the company etc. The top level Management creates company policies, make decisions on the overall direction of the organisation, strategies and objectives and communicates with the middle-level management.
The middle-level management constitutes branch managers, regional managers, section managers etc. They are accountable to the top management for their department's function. They devote more time to organisational and directional functions. Their roles can be emphasised as executing organisational plans according to the company's policies and the objectives of the top management, they define and discuss information and policies from top management to lower management. The middle-level management also provides direction to the front-line managers.
The front-line management includes supervisor, team leaders etc. The front line management guides employees to reach the goals and complete the objectives successfully.
