Mississippi University for Women (the W or MUW) was established with the motive to educate girls of the United States. It was the first public grant women’s college. Originally it was famous as an industrial institute and college by the Mississippi legislature with the motive to provide a unique and high-quality collegiate education for women and practical vocational training. Later, around 30 years ago the college opened its doors to men and runs as a co-educational public university delivering high academic perfection and leadership growth.
