UHCL is a renowned name in the US education system that offers more than 90 undergraduate and graduate degree programs with three doctoral degree programs from its four colleges. It accepts applications online through ApplyTexas.org. Admission is given during the Fall, Spring, and Summer terms. UHCL will not accept international applications for the summer session. Some other steps regarding the application are:

• The university prefers online transmission of transcripts, but students can submit transcripts via mail or in-person at the university.
• GMAT, GRE, or MAT scores must be submitted to the concerned department of your degree program.
• Candidates are required to submit a non-refundable application fee: graduate: 45 USD; doctoral: 105 USD; international: 75 USD; doctoral international: 135 USD.

Eligibility Criteria for International Students

• Official academic transcripts
• SAT/ACT scores (optional for most programs for Fall 2022 session)
• 11th-grade TAKS or STARR test scores. Schools must send these scores directly to the university (optional for most programs for the Fall 2022 session)
• Any college coursework should be sent along with the application
• Letters of recommendation (at least two)

UHCL has a selective admission process. International students are advised to apply before deadlines and ensure their visa completion at least 3 months before the start of their semester. The minimum GPA requirements are 3 and above for an applicant to have a better chance of selection. Hence, applicants are suggested to apply with a higher GPA and Standardized scores.
