How can I get into the University of Surrey?

To study at the University of Surrey, you will be required to have a Tier 4 General Student Visa. International students from India will be required to have 70% in 12th board exam English from CBSE/ISC boards and 80% in 12th board exam English from the majority of Indian state boards. The international students must score a particular grade in their high school or Bachelor's studies in order to get admission into the university. For English and Maths, the minimum requirements are:

  • English -Standard XII, 70% in English or 60% from West Bengal Exam Board
  • Mathematics -Standard XII, Mathematics Pass or C2 in All India Secondary School Examination or 6 in Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination

For A*AA levels the candidates must have scored an average of 90% in their high school examinations from ICSE/ CBSE/ ISC boards. For AAA, the minimum score requirement is 85%. The scores are different for other state boards. Generally, Indian students don’t need to submit an IELTS score to study in undergraduate and postgraduate programs. If you don't meet the admission requirements, you can attend pre-professional English language courses which are offered to help you with your studies.
