Bishop’s University is a small Liberal arts college. It is one of three universities in the province of Quebec that teach primarily in English. This college was established with the motto that “to offer the country a sound and liberal education”, it still stands true to its motto and works hard to reach the goal. Bishop’s University offers 45+ programs with numerous courses in almost every field from Science to Arts.

Bishop's University was founded and established on 19 October 1843 by an Act of Canadian Parliament. Bishop's University began its foundation by absorbing the Lennoxville Classical School as Bishop's College School in the 1840s. The college was formally founded in 1843 and received a royal charter from Queen Victoria in 1853.
