The University of Pacific has made it to the top of California's private and public colleges and universities, according to prestigious national college rankings such as the 2021 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings. It is ranked 11th among California private universities nationally, out of over 300 public and private institutions. It is ranked 133rd nationwide, but it is also ranked 20th in the state. According to U.S. News and World Report, the University of Pacific is ranked seventh out of ten well-known private colleges in California.
