The University of Oregon admissions are accepted in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters on a rolling basis. International students are required to submit the application online along with an application fee of $60 for undergraduate programs and $90 for graduate programs.

University of Oregon Admission Requirement

All international students applying for admission to the University of Oregon must fulfil English language proficiency in addition to the basic admission requirements. A personal interview is a must for admission to most of the graduate programs. Students are selected based on their high school scores, financial ability to pay for the academic programs, English language proficiency, and provision of all the legal documents to reside in the US.

Undergraduate Admission at the University of Oregon

The University of Oregon offers over 52 undergraduate majors in popular fields of study like business, psychology, criminal justice, and more. Some of the renowned undergraduate courses are Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Arts, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Interested students can apply online along with an application charge of $60.

Postgraduate Admission at the University of Oregon

The University of Oregon graduate programs in different study areas such as finance, business administration, law, and more. Around 20% of the international students enrol in graduate programs at UOregon. Most of the graduate programs require applicants to give a personal interview session. Additionally, international applicants should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent to apply for the advanced and graduate courses.

University of Oregon Application Process for International Students

The University of Oregon application can be submitted through the online UO application or by downloading the PDF. Freshmen may also complete the Common Application along with a non-refundable $75 application fee. All the relevant supporting documents should be submitted along with the completed and signed application to be considered for admission at the University of Oregon.

  • An application fee of $75 is applicable to international students
  • A completed application needs to be submitted along with all supporting documents such as resume, academic transcripts, proof of finance, qualifying test scores, English language proficiency test scores, recommendation letters, and more
  • Freshmen applicants can choose to complete the Common Application, the Coalition Application, or the Oregon Application and transfer students can apply through the Oregon Application

Admission Procedure of the University of Oregon

The University of Oregon admission procedure takes about 2 weeks to complete from the time the application is filed and all application documents are received. Incomplete applications are not processed. Students meeting all the academic requirements are generally accepted. 

The academic transcripts should be sent directly from the college or university where credits were earned. Paper transcripts should not be opened and bear the college or university seal. Selected students receive their admission letters via USPS mail.

The University of Oregon acceptance rate is about 83% which means the admission is slightly selective. Of the total enrollment of 22,760 students, around 10% are international students and 38% are out-of-state students.
