Later in 1917 when the agricultural community named itself La Verne, the college also followed it, and only in 1977 it was named and recognized as the University of La Verne. ULV admits international students for undergraduate courses in the Fall and Spring term and for graduate degree courses students in Fall, Spring, and Summer term.
