The College of New Jersey is a public liberal arts university located in New Jersey. A part of New Jersey’s public system of higher education, TCNJ was the first normal school in the state and fifth in the country. It is one of the top institutions in the northeast. The college went through different name changes with the latest being in 1996 from Trenton State College to The College of New Jersey.

How can I get into Sacred Heart University?

Sacred Heart University accepts applications in two intakes, Spring and Fall. All the applicants will be automatically considered for scholarships. The Common App is used by SHU to accept applications but you can also apply by SHU international application portal. You will be guided throughout the application stage if you need any assistance. Given below are some of the major requirements for undergraduate and graduate courses at SHU:

Undergraduate Student Admissions Requirements

  • Official scholastic records from all secondary schools and college/universities attended
  • One recommendation letter 
  • All students who wish to receive academic credit for coursework taken at a foreign university will have to provide a course-by-course evaluation issued by WES, SpanTran, or by any other accredited organization listed on NACES
  • All non-native English speakers will have to submit a standardised English test score.
  • SAT/ACT scores might be applicable 
  • A scanned copy of your passport
  • You will be required to produce a valid bank statement specifying that you have 60,000 USD at least to begin your studies at SHU.
