Rogers State University (RSU) is a public university that started as a state-sponsored preparatory school, then transitioned as a military academy, and then finally to its 4-year regional university as we know it today. It serves northeastern Oklahoma and the Tulsa metropolitan area. RSU also has its branch campus in Bartlesville and Pryor Creek. Rogers State University is one of the fastest-growing universities in the state of Oklahoma because of its increasing enrollment rates.

When was Rogers State University Established? 

RSU was established in 1909 as a preparatory school which then was turned into a military academy and then became the university as it stands today. In 1919, it was restarted as the Oklahoma Military Academy, but due to its unpopularity and drop in enrollment rates, it was then renamed Rogers State University in 1982.
