Tennessee State University is a public and historically black land-grant university in Nashville, Tennessee that is founded in 1912. It is the largest and only state-funded historically black university in Tennessee. It offers 41 bachelor’s degrees, 23 master's degrees, and eight doctoral degrees. Tennessee State University produces the highest number of American African bachelor’s degree holders in agriculture, agriculture-related sciences, and agriculture operations.
