Husson University was founded in 1898 and is a private coeducational institution in Bangor, Maine. It is one of three universities in the Bangor area including the University of Maine at Augusta and the University of Maine. It is located in a suburban area with a campus size of 208 acres. 

Husson University offers various undergraduate and graduate courses in different areas of study. Some of the popular courses are nursing, health sciences, business, healthcare studies, liberal studies, and mass communication and journalism. It follows a semester-based academic calendar. Husson University has dozens of student organizations and the students can participate in several sports events.
