The California State University (CSU) is the largest public University in the USA. The university is recognised for its social commitment and has been named by the Washington Monthly as the top university for contribution to the public good. The Princeton Review credits CSU for having the best MBA program. The University is ranked number one by the National Science Foundation and has the top supplier of Engineer and PhD recipients.
CSU was established in 1857 as a normal school for teacher education in Association with the high school system. A public university system with 23 campuses and 8 off-campus centres, it is one of the three Public Higher Education systems in the state of California. Later on, San Jose, L.A. Chico, San Diego and other schools became a part of the state of California College System which finally became the CSU in 1972.

Decisions on prospective student applications are done twice a year on two distinct occasions. Early action (a non-binding status) applicants must submit their applications by November 15 and should expect a decision by December 15. Regular decision applicants should submit their applications by February 1 and expect a decision by March 1. After March 1, students can still apply to Covenant, but applications will be assessed on a rolling admissions basis. Accepted applicants will be placed on a waiting list once the entering class is full. All students accepted for the Fall semester must confirm their registration by May 1.
