Established in 1900 by Queen Victoria, the University of Birmingham (UoB) is one of the most renowned universities in the UK. It has made a great contribution to the field of cancer studies and research. The University of Birmingham has five academic colleges under it with close to 100 departments. It offers various degree courses, including undergraduate, master’s, professional, and postgraduate programs.

Undergraduate Admission at the University of Birmingham

The University of Birmingham offers about 350 undergraduate courses. These courses are related to arts, engineering, medical science, dentistry, law, social sciences, etc. It is required by the students to comply with both entry requirements and country-specific requirements to get admission to one of the courses at UoB. Additionally, the student must be at least 17 years of age by October 1 in the year of admission. It is required by the international students to submit their documents to support their applications. The application process for undergraduate and postgraduate courses is different. How to Apply?

  • To apply for undergraduate courses at the University of Birmingham, you need to apply through the UCAS website by paying an application fee of 50 GBP.
  • The students should apply at least three months before the commencement of the desired course.
  • For postgraduate courses, students are required to submit their applications through the official website of the university.
  • Create a new account and fill in all the necessary information to complete your registration.
  • The user ID will be the email address that you entered while creating your account. Further, you need to fill 11 subsections to complete the application process.
  • It is important to save your information while filling in the details. The application fee is 50 GBP for PG courses as well.
  • UoB will reach out to you in a few weeks via email if your application gets approved.

University of Birmingham Application Deadlines

The deadlines are followed strictly for admissions at the University of Birmingham as applications are not considered if submitted after the deadlines. Hence, it is important to make sure that all the necessary documents are ready at the right time. There are no official deadlines for students who do not require a visa. The application deadlines for most undergraduate courses and postgraduate courses are January 15, 2022 (closed) and July 1, 2022, respectively. Some of the programs are starting somewhere in September. Students are advised to visit the official website of UoB to know the exact deadlines for some of the specific courses.

Admission Procedure of University of Birmingham

Once you have accepted the admission offer for studying at the University of Birmingham, you should be aware a tier 4 visa will be required for the duration of your stay in the UK. Apply for a visa three months before the starting date of your course by paying an application fee of 335 GBP. Forty points are required by the visa application (30 points of CAS and 10 points for financial proof). The following documents are required for the approval of your visa application.
