Queen’s University is a public research university that was founded in the year 1841 in a royal charter issued by Queen Victoria. It was built by the board of trustees, a principal, and a senate. Started with just 2 professors and 13 students it has grown drastically now.
During the initial stage of its 11 years, it had no home, so it used to shift from one place to another, later it settled in a limestone residence, Summerhill. The university had 21 principals from 1841, The Rev Thomas Liddell being the first principal and Patrick Dean is the current principal.
The campus of Queen’s University is located in the heart of the city, Kingston, Ontario, Cannada. The campus has six libraries and also it has outstanding art facilities and museums including The Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts and Agnes Etherington Art Centre.
There are 3 campuses in this university namely lower campus, main campus and west campus in which lower campus has the largest green space, the main campus has around 100 acres of land and the west campus has 61 acres of land which is located 2 km away from the main campus.
Queen’s University admission is divided into two categories which are Indigenous students and International students, the process and the fees structure will be different from each other. A well-known school for postgraduate, continuing education, and research programs of the United Kingdom, LSHTM has more than 3,300 staff members and has MRC units at Gambia and Uganda. It has almost 3,000 students taking the distance learning program and 1,000 students participating in short courses and continuing professional courses. The applicants have to submit an online application form either via LSHTM’s application portal or a paper application form depending upon the availability of the application form. A non-refundable application fee of £50 should also be submitted along with the application.
