CBSE 12th Compartment Exam 2021

The CBSE class 12th compartment exam is for students who could not pass one subject in the 12th final exams. CBSE 12th Compartment Application Form 2021

Rules and Eligibility Criteria for CBSE 12th Compartment Exams

Before applying for the CBSE compartment exams, candidates must check out the eligibility criteria for the same. The rules and eligibility for appearing in the compartment exam according to the previous year is as mentioned below:

  1. Candidates who failed any one of the subjects in their final board exam can apply for the compartment exam.

  2. A candidate placed in the compartment category in the class 12th board exam should reappear in the compartmental examination held in the same year. They will also get a second and third chance to clear the exam in the subsequent year.

  3. A candidate who does not appear or fails in one or all three chances of compartment exams will be considered failed in the examination. They must reappear in all the subjects and clear the exams to get the class 12th certificate.

  4. Candidates can appear in the practical examination for the subjects having the practical evaluation. They can also retain their previous marks in one more annual examination after the third chance of compartment exam.

  5. For subjects involving practical evaluation, if the candidate clears the main examination practicals, they shall only appear in the theory part. In that case, the previous practical exam marks will be considered. However, if the candidate fails in the main practical exam, they must appear in both theory and practical to clear the subject.

    CBSE 12th Revaluation of Answers

    After the verification of marks, if the candidate is still not satisfied with the scores given, or if they feel there may be some changes in the same, they can go for the re-evaluation of Marks, under the following guidelines:

    • Candidates who apply to get a photocopy of the evaluated answer book alone can apply for re-evaluation or challenge the marks awarded.

    • CBSE will only accept re-evaluation/challenges requests for theory parts, with a processing fee of Rs. 100/- (roughly) per question.

    • Candidates need to refer to the marking scheme in the subject concerned, which will be available on the website along with the question paper. After that, candidates can submit an application for revaluation in the required question with the reason.

    • Status of revaluation shall be uploaded on the website, followed by a formal letter by speed post.

    • Decreases even by one mark shall be affected. CBSE does not entertain any further appeal or review of the re-evaluation.

    Candidates can apply for Re-verification/Photocopy/Revaluation 2021 from the official website by following the steps given below:

    Step 1: Visit the official website of CBSE 12th board - cbse.nic.in

    Step 2: Candidates need to click on the "Online Application of Verification/Photocopy/Evaluation for class XII" link under the "In Focus" section on the home page.
