The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the detailed CBSE 12th Practical Exam Date Sheet 2026 on its official website. Candidates will appear for the Class 12 practical examinations can now check the schedule on cbse.gov.in under the “Latest Updates/Examinations” section.
The tentative practical exams for regular schools are scheduled between January 1, 2026 and February 14, 2026. The practical exams are conducted few days before the main theory examinations. Winter-bound schools will conduct practical exams earlier, between November 6, 2025 and December 6, 2025, as per the board’s schedule.
The final Class 12 date sheet (including practical and theory exams) was released on October 30, 2025. According to the schedule, the main theory exams will be conducted between February 17, 2026 to April 9, 2026.
The 2026 board exams will be conducted in multiple phases, practical exams, followed by written theory exams, and then any supplementary exams. Practical exams are scheduled based on school timetables within the January–February window, while theory exams are held from around 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, depending on subjects. Step 1: Visit the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, find the menu or section showing ‘Latest Updates/Examination’.
Step 3: Search for the link showing “CBSE 12th Practical Date Sheet 2026”. Click on that link.
Step 4: The CBSE 12th Practical Date Sheet 226 will appear on the screen in the PDF format.

The CBSE Class 12 practical exams for 2026 is scheduled to be conducted between January 1, 2026, and February 14, 2026. These practical exams are usually conducted during normal school hours. The board has also issued strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) requiring marks to be uploaded on the same day the practical is conducted.
CBSE Class 12 theory exams begin from February 17 to April 9, 2026, usually in a single shift between 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. In CBSE Class 12, most subjects are evaluated out of a total of 100 marks. Practical exam marks form a part of the final result. So, a student must perform well in both practical and theory exams.
For practical-based subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, etc., the practical section usually carries 30 marks and the theory carries 70 marks. To pass the practical exam, you must score at least 33% in both the theory and practical/internal paper.
