For the CGBSE 12th board exams, 33% is the passing score. Students must receive at least 33% in each subject in order to pass the exams. The total marks are calculated by adding the theory, practical, and internal assessment marks of a student. If a student's marks are less than 33%, he/she will be considered a failure. Apart from receiving 33% in all subjects, the student must also attain a minimum of 33% as the average percentage.

The students are also allotted grades according to the marks received in the board exam. The students must also receive a passing grade in all the subjects to pass the board exams.
The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education makes decisions on the CGBSE 12th Grading System. The Chhattisgarh board's grading scheme assigns students grades ranging from A1 to E2.
The CGBSE 12th Grading system has nine grades in all, ranging from A1 to E2. The greatest grade a student can receive is an A1, and the lowest is an E2.

The students can get their marksheet in digital format from the DigiLocker app or an original copy of their marksheet from their respective schools. The marksheet contains various types of information about the student, like student details, subject-wise marks, grades, total marks received by the student, division, and pass/fail status of the student.
If a student is not able to get passing marks in one or more subjects, he/she can apply for the CGBSE 12th supplementary exams 2026. The Chhattisgarh board will conduct the supplementary exams for class 12th in July 2026 (tentatively). Following the announcement of the results, the date sheet for the supplementary exams will be made available on the Chhattisgarh board's official website, cgbse.nic.in.
Students are required to pay a small fee to apply for the supplementary tests. The CGBSE 12th supplementary results 2026 will be announced (tentatively) in August 2026. The students must attain passing marks in supplementary exams also otherwise they will have to give the board exams again in the following academic year.
