What is ASL for CBSE Students?

ASL is an assessment of listening and speaking abilities for CBSE students. It is a test comprising two sections testing language and communication by checking the listening and speaking ability of the student.

• Listening Skill Test

The criteria of the test are students are made to sit in an audiovisual-enabled classroom where two different videos are played, one of a conversation and the other of a speech.

The examiner will play the audio twice, and then a questionnaire will be given to the student to check the attentiveness of the student.

• Speaking Skill Test

In the speaking test, students are randomly paid and then asked to prepare for the speech from the ASL topics allocated by the teacher, or they can randomly choose by themselves as well. Then, students are asked to record the speech, and every student gets an opportunity to present himself.
