The eligibility criteria for the bachelor's of mass media (B.M.M) in UPG is entirely merit-based. The cutoffs are moderate for students coming from commerce and science background. Although one can deem the cutoffs to be fairly high for students belonging to arts. Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

Students from all streams (Arts, Commerce and Science) are eligible to apply for this course. The online application form usually comes out during end of December and are open till end of january. After filling the online application, the students need to send their Class 10, Class 11 and some other documents mentioned in the website by post to the university. The entrance examinations take place in three schedules. Two of them occur during the end of April and the last one is held in the second week of May.

The entrance examination has 3 phases.

  • First, there is an MCQ paper of 50 questions consisting of General Knowledge, English(Comprehension and grammar) and logical reasoning which does have negative marking (+1 for correct and -0.25 for incorrect).

  • Second, students are given to write articles on two given topics in about 50-100 words.

  • Last, there is a personal interview which is very subjective. What questions are going to be asked cannot be predetermined.
