UP Class 12 Exam Pattern 2026

There are two sections in the UP Class 12 Exam pattern 2026. Section A has multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to assess your understanding and memory recall quickly, while Section B has short and long-answer questions to assess your analytical writing. Depending on the subject, each paper is worth 100 marks, with 70 marks for theory and 30 marks for practicals/internal assessments.  All exams are three hours long, with fifteen extra minutes provided to read the question paper before you begin. The pass mark is set by the UP Board at 33% per subject. The paper pattern will consist of various questions, such as objective, short-answer, and descriptive, to assess your conceptual clarity and application.
