TS SSC Passing Marks 2026: Exact Criteria

The Telangana Secondary School Certificate (class 10th) exams are conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Telangana. The TS SSC Passing Marks for all subjects except the second language are 35%. For the 2nd language, the pass marks are 20%. This passing mark condition applies separately to the theory and practical components of a subject. 

Generally, the theory paper is worth 80 marks and the practical paper is worth 20 marks (except for the subject of science). To pass the theory paper of 1st language, 3rd language, and non-language subjects, a student must score at least 28 marks out of 80. For the second language, one needs to score at least 16 marks out of 80 in theory.

There are principally six subjects in the Telangana SSC exam. The subject of science is separated into physical science and biological science. The total maximum marks for the 6 subjects are 600. 

The overall aggregate TS SSC Passing Marks are 35%. Hence, to be declared passed in the TS SSC exam, a student must get at least 210 marks out of 600. Students must pass all the subjects individually to get the passing certificate.

As per the TS SSC grading system, the highest grade for the 1st language, 3rd language, and non-language subjects is A1 (marks range of 91 to 100). The students scoring below 35 marks in a subject will be declared failed and will be allotted an E grade. The minimum grade required to pass is D (depicts mark range of 35 to 40).

TS SSC result for the year 2026 can be easily checked online, and here is the process for it –

  • Step 1 – Students must access the designated website of the Telangana Board, bse.telangana.gov.in.
  • Step 2 – On the home page, there will be a result tab. Open that tab and look for the option of TS SSC Result. 
  • Step 3 – Click on the link that states TS SSC 2026 Result. Enter the credentials like roll number/hall ticket number.
  • Step 4 – After entering the details, the marks memo will appear on the screen. 
  • Step 5 – Save the marks memo as a screenshot or take a printout of the same. 

Students can download their provisional marks statement through the above-mentioned method. The original marks statement will be circulated by the respective schools (some weeks after the declaration of results).
