NBSE HSSLC passing marks are 33% in all the subjects, considering theory and internal assessments/practical exams. Students have to secure passing marks in every subject of the NBSE HSSLC Board exam. Students who fail to obtain the required passing marks can appear for the NBSE HSSLC compartment exam. As the passing marks are separate for theory and practical exams, students have to secure passing marks for both exams separately.

The NBSE HSSLC passing marks are different for the theory and practical exams. Students have to secure passing marks in both exams.
In NBSE HSSLC, the theory exams are conducted maximum of 80 or 70 marks. The passing marks out of 80 marks are 27, and out of 70 maximum marks, the passing marks are 21. The NBSE HSSLC passing marks in theory exams for all the subjects are mentioned in the table.

Based on the total marks students have obtained, their result is classified into a division. Including all the subjects, the HSSLC exam is conducted of aggregate 500 marks, and the marks mentioned below in the table are the range of marks considered to assign the division to students. Below 165 marks, no division is allotted, and the student is considered not qualified to be promoted to the next class. Check out the table below for more details.

In the NBSE HSSLC exam, the grades are also awarded in each subject and internal assessments/projects along with marks. The grades are awarded to represent the performance of candidates. Students can check the NBSE HSSLC grading system in the tables below.
Based on marks students have received on different subjects, the grades and remarks are given to them. A1 is the highest grade awarded if the student has secured marks between 91 and 100. E1 and E2 are the lowest grades awarded to students based on their marks. The passing grade is D, below which if students receive any grade, they have to re-appear for that exam again.
