The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) employs an 8-point grading system for evaluating student performance in the Madhyamik (Class 10) examinations. Students have to appear for five compulsory subjects along with one optional subject in the examination. The written examination is worth 80 marks, and the internal assessment is worth 20 marks.

Students need a minimum grade of 'D' to pass the TBSE 10th Board exam. Students can read this article to know more about the TBSE Madhyamik grading system.

TBSE Madhyamik Grading System

The grades are allotted depending on the range of marks a student has received. TBSE has an 8-point grading scale. One needs to score a minimum of 150 out of 500 or 30% to pass the examination. Students are graded not only based on marks scored in each subject but also on marks scored in the total aggregate. For example, suppose someone scored 82 out of 100 in Science and 360 in the overall aggregate, so he/she will be graded A2 for the particular subject and B1 for the overall aggregate.

The TBSE mark sheet contains necessary information like marks in a subject, total marks obtained in the aggregate, grade marks, and status of result: pass/ fail.

Subject Marks Range (/100) Aggregate Marks Range (/500) Grade Grade Description
