The Odisha CHSE rewards students not only with marks but with a grading system too. It has a 9-point grading system ranging from A1 to E2. This marking system is issued by the Council of Higher Education, Odisha. Those who score above 91 percent secure an A1 grade, and according to the new marking scheme, one needs to score at least 30 percent in all subjects (both in theory and practical examination ).

Odisha CHSE Passing Marks Subject-Wise

The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, has set the minimum passing marks of 30 percent across all streams of science, commerce, arts, and vocational subjects.

For Theory-based subjects, one needs to score a minimum of 24 out of 80, which is 30% as per Odisha CHSE Passing Marks. The remaining 20 are given on the basis of internal exams in school. Theory-based subjects include maths, accountancy, history, etc
For Practical subjects, one needs to score a minimum of 21 out of 70 and 9 out of 30, that is 30 % both in theory and practical papers separately. Practical papers include physics, chemistry, biology, geography, psychology, etc
For vocational-based subjects, one needs to score 12 out of 40 in theory and 18 out of 60 in practical to pass the examination.

Odisha CHSE Supplementary / Complementary Marks
