Karnataka SSLC Passing Marks: Check Karnataka SSLC Passing Maximum and Minimum Marks

The Karnataka SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) exam is a state-level examination conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) for students in the 10th grade. This exam signifies the completion of secondary education in Karnataka.

To pass the Karnataka SSLC Exam, students must score a minimum of 35% marks overall in both theory and practical exams.  In Karnataka SSLC theory exams, students are required to score 70 out of 150 marks in the first language, 28 out of 80 marks in the second language, third language, Social Science, and Science subject. Similarly, in internals, the passing marks will be 10 marks out of 25 marks in the first language, 7 out of 20 marks in the second language, third language,  Social Science and Science subjects. In case a student fails to secure 35% marks, they can appear for the supplementary examination. 

Karnataka Board assesses students for Karnataka SSLC Exam 2026 by following a six-point grading pattern. According to the Karnataka SSLC  grading system, an A+ grade, falling under the mark range of 563 - 625, is the highest grade, while a C grade, falling under the mark range of 219 - 312, is the lowest grade. 

Karnataka SSLC Class 10th Subject-Wise Passing Marks

Karnataka Board mandates students to appear for 6 subjects, including first language, second language, third Language, Maths, Science, and Social Science in Karnataka SSLC exams. In First Language, students can choose from English, Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Sanskrit, and Urdu. In Second Language,  students can opt between English and Kannada. In the third language, students can select Hindi, English, Tulu, Kannada, Konkani, and Urdu.

  • Focus on Previous Year Papers or Sample Papers as they often mirror the real examination. Solving Karnataka SSLC previous year question papers will give you insights into the types of questions asked such as short answers or long answers, marks allocated, difficulty level, exam format.
