GSEB SSC Percentile Rank 2026

The Gujarat 10th board follows the percentile system apart from the grade system. The marks received by the students are converted into percentile to find out the rank of the student. The total marks can be converted into percentile rank by the following steps:

  • Take the total number of students who have appeared in the SSC exams (n), say 100000.
  • Check the total marks of a student out of 500 (x), say 476.
  • Calculate the number of students who have received marks between 0 and (x-1), in other words, the number of students who have scored less than the student (L), say 96000 students have scored marks between 0 and 475.
  • The percentile rank can then be calculated by using the following formula: L/n*100. Therefore, by taking the above example, we can calculate the percentile rank as 96000/100000*100=96.00. Thus, the student is in the top 4% of all the students appearing for the exams.

This year the total students appearing for SSC exams are 822401, so if student gets a percentile above 99, then he/she is among the top 1% or 8224 students who are giving the Gujarat 10th boards.
