Founded in 1974, Fraser Valley University is a public university that offers degree programs in a variety of fields, including accounting, education, business technology, and aviation. The university offers two master’s and 19 bachelor's degree programs as well as 110 online courses. There are several schools under the university that offer these programs. These schools include the College of Arts, the Faculty of Access and Continuing Education, the Faculty of Science, and the School of Graduate Studies. Nearly 15,000 students enroll in the university each year.
