St Thomas University is a state-funded institution founded in 1910 in Fredericton, New Brunswick. It is a Canadian institution of higher learning that is currently affiliated with various prestigious national and international organizations such as the Canadian Federation of Humanities, the Free Student Assistance Program, and the International School Council.

St Thomas University Admission Requirement

IST Thomas University invites admission in January and September each year. International applicants must submit applications and supporting documents by June 1 and January 1 by October 1.

Undergraduate Admission at St Thomas University

Applicants wishing to be considered under this policy may begin, in October, to submit their high school diploma showing the final marks for Class 11 (junior), as well as the first and second phase Class 12 (major year) courses directly at the Admissions Office in December. Applicants abroad must demonstrate academic ability in the college/university course preparation program through the distribution of subjects, other minimum requirements, and student status relative to the requirements for Canadian applicants.   • Bachelor of Arts: Open to high school applicants, refer applicants, returning students, and adults.
  • Bachelor of Applied Arts: Contains a focus on Criminal Justice, Gerontology, or Journalism and is open to high school applicants, refer applicants, returning students, and adult students.
  • Bachelor of Education: Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university or be a bachelor's degree on May 15 in their application year.
  • Bachelor of Social Work: Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university or be a candidate for that grade on May 15 of their application year.
  • Class 12 students, who have achieved an average of 70% or more in five Class 11 subject subjects (including English textbooks) and their Class 12 programs that meet the university's

Postgraduate Admission at St Thomas University

Students must obtain a Level 5 teacher's certificate from the Department of Education, New Brunswick which includes a four-year 120-hour credit degree.

Eligibility Criteria for International Students

  • Applicants must have a four-year bachelor's degree at a recognized university
  • They should hold a minimum collection rate of 2.7.
