Lakehead University (LU) is a publicly funded institution established in 1965 and is located in Ontario, Canada. It offers quality education to students through its 2 campuses in Thunder Bay and Orillia. The Orillia Campus opened its doors in 2006 at Heritage Place with a class of 104 students. LU started a second Orillia location on University Avenue in 2010 which offers a full campus experience with a range of facilities. Approximately 1,200 students are studying at the Orillia Campus.
