The Ottawa School of Art provides an all-around specialized art course including life drawing, landscape painting, watercolor, etching, printmaking, photography, ceramics, sculpture, lithography, and a huge variety of specialized short courses and workshops. Multimedia to animation and cartooning, sculpture and construction, ceramics, drawing, and painting are among the classes available to children and teenagers.

The OSA presently offers a non-credit Arts Fundamentals Certificate, a one-year Portfolio Development Program, and a three-year Diploma Program, as well as visiting artist-in-residence workshops, a professional exhibitions gallery (which hosts solo and group shows by local, national, and international artists), and a non-credit Arts Fundamentals Certificate.
Applicants to the Portfolio program should submit any visual work that demonstrates their wish to apply to the program. To the interview, all applicants must bring the completed application form, two passport photos, their birth certificate or passport, and any transcripts.
