UNB Fredericton is one of the top universities in Canada, providing approximately 75% of all academic research in the province. Students must complete six specific high school courses according to their preferred program. UNB takes the total amount of high school marks obtained in these six subjects, which are used to calculate the “minimum student admission rate” and determine admission. UNB Group Elections in Five Groups:
Group 1: Senior Secondary Advanced Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer / Information Technology, French, Geography, History, Geology, Law, Political Science, Science, Physics, Sociology, Environmental Studies.
Group 2: Accounting, Business Studies, Marketing.
Group 3: Divine Communication, Art, Music, Drama.
Group 4: Computer Assisted Drafting (CAD), Electronics.
Group 5: Higher education or physical education.
Eligibility Criteria for International Students

|Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering||70% or higher in senior English Literature, Maths, 1 other academic math, Chemistry, Physics; 60% or higher in one elective from group 1, 2 or 4|
|Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSc Eng): Chemical, Social, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical||70% or higher in English Literature, Maths (including Pre-Calculus), 1 other academic math, Chemistry, Physics; 60% or higher in one elective from group 1, 2 or 4|
|Bachelor of Nursing (BN)||70% or higher in senior English Literature, grade 11 Math, Chemistry, Biology; two electives from group 1|

Eligibility Criteria for International Students
International Applicants you can apply at least six months prior, If English is not your first language, official English language test scores are required.

The admission process is the same, the UNB wants international applicants to meet some additional requirements. This allows UNB to conduct a comprehensive review of each international applicant.
How to apply?
Accepted international applicants must apply for a study permit. Applicants can apply online or using a paper application.
There is no fixed admission deadline for UNB graduate programs. For undergraduate programs, applicants are advised to apply by March 31. The specific semester deadline for UG admission is given below:
