The Maharashtra HSC Biology Exam Pattern adopts a student-friendly approach. The exam pattern informs about the correct style of the question paper. The Maharashtra HSC Exam Pattern 2026 is rationally designed. The Biology theory question paper will be for seventy marks. The practical assessment will hold thirty marks. In the theory exam, there will be four sections. You will see MCQs, very-short, short, and long types of questions in the main exam. If you are worried about the negative marking, then relax your nerves. There is zero negative marking in this exam. So, even if a few answers are wrong, they won’t be marked negatively. Thus, always solve all the questions.

Maharashtra HSC Biology Exam Pattern 2026 – Section Wise Details 

The Maharashtra HSC Biology Exam Pattern is very easy to interpret. The valuation of the theory paper is seventy marks, and it will be for three hours. The practical assessment will be for thirty marks. So, the overall weightage of the Biology paper is one hundred marks. 

There will be four sections in the theory exam named A, B, C, and D. Section A will be a mix of eighteen MCQs and very-short questions (1 mark each). In section B, you will have to answer any eight short questions out of twelve (2 marks each). In section C also, you will have to answer any eight short questions out of twelve (3 marks each). The last section will be D. In this, you will have to solve any three long questions out of five (4 marks each).
