About Maharashtra State Board 

MSBSHSE (Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education) was introduced through "Maharashtra Secondary Boards Act, 1965" and became an autonomous body for state education. There are nine divisional boards within MSBSHSE to represent the state board.

The duties of the divisional boards include deciding the schools and colleges and conducting the final exams of these schools and colleges. They are also responsible for appointing translators, custodians, paper settlers, and so forth and reporting the same to the state board.
