About JEECUP: Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh [JEECUP] is a State Level Entrance Exam conducted by Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education [UPBTE] for admission into Diploma, PG Diploma, and Post Diploma in the field of Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, and Management.
Also Known: JEECUP was previously known as Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination [UPJEE].
About UPBTE: State Board Of Technical Education and Training was set up in the state in May 1958. The name of the state Board was changed to "Board Of Technical Education" in 1962. The Board conducted its first examination in 1960, for courses of diploma level and also for Draughtsman Certificate Course.
Conducting Body: Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education [UPBTE] conducts JEECUP once in every year.
Level: JEECUP is a State Level Entrance Examination for admission to diploma courses.
Exam Date & Mode: JEECUP 2019 will be conducted on 28th April 2019 offline i.e. Pen and Paper-based Test (PBT).

Registration: Application Form was available on the official website of Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education [UPBTE] from 20th December 2018 and the last date to submit the Application Form will be on 28th February 2019.
Admit Card: The Admit Card will be released online for all the aspirants on 8th April 2019.
Examination: JEECUP 2019 will be conducted offline i.e. Pen & Paper-based Test (PBT) on 28th April 2019.
Results: Results will be declared on the official website for all category candidates based on qualified marks on 17th May 2019.
Counselling: Candidates who have cleared the JEECUP 2019 will be called for the counselling process which will be held on 1st June 2019.

Education Qualification:
Diploma: The candidates must have passed a 10th standard examination in the relevant stream with a minimum of 35% marks.
PG Diploma: The candidates must have passed a Bachelor's Degree in the relevant stream.
Post Diploma: The candidates must have passed an Engineering Diploma.
Age Limit: There is no upper age limit but the candidates must be 14 years of age.

Registration Date: Application Form was available on the official website of Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education [UPBTE] from 20th December 2018 and the last date to submit the Application Form will be on 28th February 2019.
Registration Fee: Candidates have to pay INR 300 for General/ OBC category candidates and INR 200 for SC/ ST category candidates as registration fee.
Payment Mode: Candidates can pay the Application Fee online (Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card) and offline e-challan (State Bank of India).
Note: Candidates are advised to download and take the printout of the filled in JEECUP 2019 Application Form for their future use.
Centre: JEECUP 2019 is conducted in all major cities in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Choice of Centre: Candidate should mention the Centre Code and Name of his/ her choice of Test Centre in Online Application Form.
Change of Centre: Requests for change of Test Centre and Subject opted by the candidate in the Application Form will not be considered under any circumstances.
Note: Students can check the name and venue of the exam center at the time of downloading the admit card.
Availability: JEECUP 2019 Admit Card will be available on the official website from 8th April 2019.

Id Proof: Candidate must carry anyone government id proof such as Voter Id, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Passport along with the Admit Card.
Note: The candidates are advised to read the instructions on the admit card carefully and follow them during the conduct of the examination.

Question Type: The question paper will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
No. of Questions: JEECUP 2019 question paper will consist of 100 questions in total.
Duration: The time given to complete the examination will be 3 hours i.e. 180 minutes.
Marking Scheme: Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer and -1 mark for incorrect answers.

Syllabus: The syllabus will be of 10th or 12th standard subjects.
Preparation: Candidates must prepare for the exam as per the officially prescribed syllabus.
Engineering: For engineering, the syllabus will comprise of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry subjects.
Diploma: For Diploma in Pharmacy, questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics subjects.
Reference Books: Candidates can refer to the 10th and 12th standard books to prepare for JEECUP 2019.
Results: Results will be declared on the official website for all category candidates based on qualified marks on 17th May 2019.
Merit List: JEECUP 2019 merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured by the candidates. UPBTE will be responsible for listing the merit and updating it on the official website.
Cut-off: After the declaration of the result, the cut-off will be released. The Cut-off is the minimum marks obtained by the candidate in order to proceed for further rounds of the admission process.
The cut-off marks will be calculated on the basis of some factors which are as below:
Total number of candidates appeared in the exam
The difficulty level of the paper
Previous year cut-off marks
Counselling: Candidates who have cleared the JEECUP 2019 will be called for the counselling process which will be held on 1st June 2019.
Seat Allotment: During the counseling process candidates have to fill their college and courses preference. Candidates will get seat according to their rank and seat availability in respective college.
Rounds: The JEECUP 2019 Counselling will consist of 4 rounds for all the category candidates
Registration Fee: All the candidates have pay INR 250 as a registration fee to appear in JEECUP 2019 Counselling.
Document Verification: Candidates have to report the reporting centres for document verification.
