CISCE is expected to conduct the 12th improvement exam from July 01 to July 17, 2026, onwards. Students can apply for the ISC improvement exams from May 30 to June 05, 2026. The duration of each exam will be 2 hours, and most of the papers will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm. A few papers will be held from 9 am to 11 am.

The admit cards for the ISC 12th improvement exams will be released by the last week of June 2026 (tentative). The students can access the designated website of the board to download their admit cards. Furthermore, candidates can also take the help of their respective schools to obtain admit cards for the improvement exam.
It is important to note that an admit card is the prerequisite for entry into the examination hall. Hence, every student must verify all the aspects of the admit card before the actual date of the examination.
The date sheet for the class 12th ISC improvement exams will be available on the official website at cisce.org. Whereas, the improvement examinations are expected to be conducted from July 01 to July 17, 2026.
The format for the exam will be pen and paper. Furthermore, every student will get an extra 15 minutes to read the paper. The improvement exams for Art Papers 1 and 2 will be held from 9 am to 11 am, and for the rest papers, the time slot is 2 pm to 4 pm.

The CISCE is no longer running the compartment exam system. Instead, the students can appear for the improvement exams for a maximum of 2 subjects. Hence, students should consider these improvement exams as an opportunity to improve their scores. The ISC 12th improvement paper can be termed as the improvement paper.
There is also an option of re-evaluation. If students feel that they have scored fewer marks than they expected, then there is a procedure for the re-evaluation of answer scripts. To apply for re-evaluation, one must pay 1500 rupees for re-evaluating the answer sheet of a single subject.
