AHSEC HS Biology exam pattern 2026 - Section Wise

The AHSEC HS Biology exam has a 70-mark theory section and a 30-mark practical section. The Biology theory paper is divided into two parts. In Part I which is Botany, 15 different types of questions are to be answered, which are worth marks ranging from 1 - 5 out of a possible 35 marks. The 9 different types of questions in Part II which is Zoology, each worth marks ranging from 1 - 5, can be answered for a total of 35 marks. The questions can be either very short answer questions, short answer questions or long answer questions. There is an internal choice in a few questions. The exam takes three hours to complete.
