A theory section worth 56 marks, an internal assessment worth 14 marks, and a practical section worth 30 marks make up the RBSE 12th Physics exam. There are four sections in the Physics theory paper. There are 18 multiple-choice (MCQ) questions, 10 fill-in-the-blanks, and 9 very short answer questions in Section A. Each of these questions is worth half marks (for MCQs and fill-in-the-blanks and one mark (for very short answer questions) out of a possible 23. A total of 15 marks can be earned by responding to the 10 short answer questions in Section B, each of which is worth one and a half marks.
There are 3 long answer questions in Section C, and each one is worth three of the 9 possible points. A total of 8 marks can be earned by responding to the two essay-type questions in Section D, each of which is worth four marks. Three hours and fifteen minutes are needed to finish the exam.
